On yesterday, April 23, 2024 my husband and I decided to try Cozy corner for the first time, because we heard all the rave about it when it was broadcasted on channel 13 news, we saw the people there at the restaurant and a few people that we know mentioned it and made it look very tantalizing on the website I don’t know if they were having a bad day yesterday. My husband was very upset and I was upset once I opened up my plate and started to eat because I ordered the rib plate with potato salad and coleslaw I ate more potato salad and coleslaw because it was fairly good. I had to work my way through eating some of the rib tips because for one I was starving for two we paid for it, but the barbecue sauce was so thin. You really couldn’t call it barbecue sauce. It was like just flavored water over the tips. It wasn’t even enough consistency to stick to the ribs , my husband got the rib plate and when I saw his plate, I was like where is your barbecue sauce? It looks like just ribs, again lack of barbecue sauce he got french fries and coleslaw. He had to use Our Home barbecue sauce to add some barbecue sauce and flavor, but he was upset. He took a few bites and said I’ll never go there again. He ended up throwing his plate in the trash! So then we tried to go with the peach cobbler that he ordered for us. He brought the cobbler to me & said “ Bae, Please tell me that I’m overlooking the crust”, so I took the fork, and this was after he heated the peach cobbler up. I said no there’s no crust here. It’s just a bunch of peaches and what kind of juice is this? Peach cobbler has a flaky crust with peaches in a glazed juice with cinnamon and brown sugar. It didn’t look right so I didn’t want to eat mine because I smelled it, I couldn’t really get a peach cobbler smell from it. The look of it was just a complete turn off so when I opened mine to see if it had any crust, I don’t know if that was supposed to be crust, it was like peaches poured into some mush!!! Cozy corner is about 40-42 minutes away from us. He got caught up in rush-hour traffic on the way home with our order, so needless to say he wasn’t happy. I dang sure wasn’t happy because I am a extreme barbecue rib lover all my life and I love me some Memphis barbecue but baby dolls that was not it, I’m old-school so when we barbecued we barbecued every Saturday we had catfish on Friday sometimes catfish with shrimp and Soul food Sunday at my house, our mothers cooked meals throughout the week. So trust and believe when I know what barbecue supposed to look & taste like and truly, this was not it, we will not be trying cozy again because that was a hot mess. He also said the employees appeared to be unprofessional, no hairnet, pants hanging off rear ends. Employees appeared to be just there hanging out is the experience he got from visiting there yesterday.

Interesting place. My nephew sent us here when we were visiting in Tennessee. We were not sure if we were in the right place since BBQ was not on the sign LOL. The food was great. I had ribs and hubs had the chicken. We did not try the desserts but heard they were yummy. We took our grub, went to Greenbelt Park and had a wonderful picnic!. The ribs were perfect. I always get mine dry to judge the dry rub which was not too spicy and very tasty. I dipped them in mild sauce for a little wetness. They were fall off the bone tender.

Best bbq in the US! The Cornish game hen is just incredibly delicious, as is everything else. The employees are friendly. I recommend going as early in the day as possible because they may run out of your favorites. The line moves quickly, so don't let long lines deter you from going in.Parking: The parking lot is large. We've never had a problem parking ... even when they're busy.

This place is kind of like if Southern Food and BBQ had a delicious baby.You have to come in knowing what you want, the restaurant is a well oiled machine that is trying to keep that line moving. Sadly, it's a bit discouraging to people who stumble upon this place over those of us who had recommendations and then researched what we wanted before hand.So, in my personal experience... the staff was knowledgeable and succinct... but to others it could be seen as rude/rushing. Enough of that, on to the food.Ribs are delicious, Chicken is delicious, Spicy Bologna sandwich is delicious... but the spice is more of a back of your throat heat versus the kind that slaps your taste buds. I am a big fan of the potato salad and slaw, but the beans weren't my favorite.Overall, great place and if I ever end up back in Memphis...I can tell you with 100% confidence I'll be here.Dated: Jan 2024

Its So-So. Had it door dash to me . The plastic bag was open, it had no seal or tamperproof tape on it. They need to make sure that the customers food is secure and free from delivery drivers having access to it. The 2 person rib plate was ok, the taste is Not that from a pitmaster. Ribs needs more flavor , the smoke was non existent. A kittle though. Good bbq meat don"t need any sauce. Its a good thing I ordered some to make up for the differences. Will not order from here again.

BBQ is fine at best - far from special, and in Memphis the standards are admittedly raised. Need to get back to try the Cornish hen. Ribs were the highlight, but it's easy to find better ribs in Memphis. BBQ spaghetti is a gimmick, bologna sandwich, well see picture lol... Beans were 10/10, service was 10/10, and atmosphere is always solid, just usually a bit dirty. A friendly, no frills joint. Hoping we just hit an off night on food quality.

Cozy Corner use to be my go to for bbq takeout, but not anymore. The taste varies now and the bones are smaller. It used to be a time where they would give you more bones to compensate for the smaller size. I ordered a 4 bone dinner and the size of the bones were dismal. It's like they gave me the 4 smallest bones from 4 different slabs of ribs. I've had bigger baby ribs than this! I hope the owner sees this and correct this issue.

Run down, pasted its prime dive. Asked me which sauce, spicy or mild, I asked how hot the spicy was and no one knew or seemed to care. Got the rib/wing basket. Wings were dry, ribs just OK. Have smoky pictures of past movie stars that are really old. Bathroom was gross, sink would not drain. Don’t waste your time and money.

Very busy place out of ribs at noon on a Saturday the staff okay the price good the portions large the place is dirty on the inside but the food is good stay away from the bathrooms the barbecue is great the sides are not looks like an old service station best place was on Diners Drive-Ins and dives so we gave it a try the food is great the location and property need an upgradeParking: Plenty of parking have an additional gravel lot for overflow
