Food was delicious but we must have had a waiter that was ready to go home or was not paying attention to our order. 3 other couples had been seated after us and served 15 minutes before us. Wasn't impressed with the service. Good food though.

The RD Connection
This was the worst that I have had from here. I had Turnip Greens, Northern Beans and Chicken and Dressing. NO flavor.. NO seasoning.. Dressing was more MUSH than cornbread dressing.. The Beans and Greens were watery. Cornbread was like concrete balls. I have eaten here for a long time, IF I ever eat there again, it would only be breakfast. I wish that I had taken it back before trashing it.

Food/Taste/ - Country Breakfast with home fries and Cavallo Special (rib-eye steak with 2 eggs) with hash browns. The country fried steak was overcooked and extremely salty and the extra salt from the gravy didn't help it much. The rib-eye steak was decent but slightly on the overcooked side for our liking. The home fries seemed to be some type of roasted potatoes so was quite confused since we were expecting fries. The packaging wasn't done well so the whole bag was oily including the utensils, biscuits, and toast. - busy restaurant and they seemed annoyed that we didn't immediately know where to order or what the items were. Waited about 25 minutes for our food to be made.Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go. Older restaurant but seems clean overallValue for price: 3/5 - such a busy and popular store for mediocre food unfortunately.

They just haven't been the same the past couple times ive been. The last time I went, I ordered 2 entrees to go. I got home and they'd given me the wrong order. I called back, they said to bring it back IN THE MORNING and they'd give me the food I'd ordered ! Crazy. They couldn't have cared less about the fact my family had to go BACK out and get more food elsewhere, just worried about closing for the night.PS- I never received the credit or food, either....

Delicious southern food! We tried the Sunday’s specials and everything was so tasty and filling. Our server was friendly and attentive. The parking lot had security on-site which I appreciated. Good place all around!Parking: Security presence in parking lot

We absolutely love The Cupboard when we are in Memphis. The staff makes us feel like family and we have always been treated very well. The food is top-notch and is always served hot. This is a great place to take the family to. We will always return when we are in the area.

Not a euphemism, I would not serve this “food” to my dog. It’s inedible, old, congealed, and bland. My husband asked the manager to take my food off and she refused and was dismissive. There is a notice in the menu from the owner about wanting to make sure every customer has a good experience. The food and lack of cleanliness turned my stomach. The wait for the cold, disgusting food was excessive, the manager was dismissive, and the food was overpriced. When we shared my displeasure with my meal we were rudely dismissed. No one should ever step food in this rat’s nest because they will be charged for a massive disappointment. The little bit that I ate made me so nauseated. The manager stated that they fry the food 3 times per day and reheat it to order which would explain how it was somehow dry, cold, and greasy. Not to mention that’s prime for growing bacteria. If the front of the house that dinghy and gross I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. The only positive is how nice our server was.

At first I like the place because I ate in ...... The manager has such a rude attitude when I told him the fish had no meat on it and the cornbread when we order out was always cold and dry .... They charge a fortune for carry out but their portion are tiny the greens are terrible and if you take it out it's cold .... The manager you can't complain to because he don't want to hear it ..... Very rude .... Also toilets area is stinky and filthy .... I would hate to see the kitchen..... I would like to eat there again because my first experience was great but if they would just not try to cheat when they give take out ........you get home and you don't have what you paid for ..... It might have a chance of getting upgraded....... ppl want hot dinners when they don't feel like cooking but not tiny portions and scaly fish fried to hard and hard corn muffins that's dry in taste ..,try tasting it yourself .... Make corn bread not muffins your muffins is terrible. Maybe just don't order take out or maybe get better cooks and clean the bathrooms it's filthy...... It's a reflection on your restaurant sanitation.
