Please don't go there, they are no longer in business. As you can see there are abudaned cars right infront of the door.

I was a little hesitant as I pulled up tot he restaurant. The a bit off the beaten track and not in the best of neighborhoods. Ethiopian cuisine. Tastes good. Looks family operated. Friendly owners. A bit overpriced.

Fast service and the food is always fresh. **Update The online menu prices are old and don't reflect the new prices. I ordered a $12 meal listed on the online menu but was charged $19 upon pick up. 😡 No apology or discount.

This is a great spot for a cozy Sunday breakfast. Ethiopian breakfast dishes are amazing and the food at Derae is all home cooked and so flavorful. The fuul is delicious, a breakfast dish made with beans and served with warm baked bread. The hot tea is spiced and sweet. You can't beat the quality or price at any other breakfast spot in town. Service is attentive and friendly.
