Please don't go there, they are no longer in business. As you can see there are abudaned cars right infront of the door.
A preferred site for african food. Food was so delish. Definitely worth a return visit. This place has a nice atmosphere.

Always good food. Staff is super nice.
I was a little hesitant as I pulled up tot he restaurant. The a bit off the beaten track and not in the best of neighborhoods. I used to eating at the normal Beale street joints so this was an adventure for me. It was not disappointing. The charming lady who took my order suggested a dish for me. It was the first item on
The food here is fabulous. Under new ownership about a year ago. The food is still fantastic.....
Ethiopian cuisine. Tastes good. Looks family operated. Friendly owners. A bit overpriced.

Food is consistently delicious!
Come every year to get my Tibs, Injera and greens!
Fast service and the food is always fresh. **Update The online menu prices are old and don't reflect the new prices. I ordered a $12 meal listed on the online menu but was charged $19 upon pick up. 😡 No apology or discount.
OMG this food was absolutely delicious
This is a great spot for a cozy Sunday breakfast. Ethiopian breakfast dishes are amazing and the food at Derae is all home cooked and so flavorful. The fuul is delicious, a breakfast dish made with beans and served with warm baked bread. The hot tea is spiced and sweet. You can't beat the quality or price at any other breakfast spot in town. Service is attentive and friendly.
