I really wanted to like Dory more than I did. I chose the restaurant for an anniversary dinner while visiting Memphis. Many of the ingredients and preparations were unique and interesting but ultimately they didn't come together into great dishes. Service was very good, but waited quite a while for dishes to show up.The starters we ordered were oyster mushrooms and the squash. Both were excellent so that definitely gave me pretty high hopes for my main dish.I ordered the scallop and mussels citrus buerre blanc risotto, and while the scallops and mussels were cooked to perfection, the risotto was lacking in flavor. We flew in from Michigan just for Dory and this is without a doubt a culinary experience you won’t regret. From start to finish this entire meal beat our expectations. Chef Krog took his time to come by our table a talk worn us during closing. Attention to detail is second to none.
