My family and I ordered DWI last night and the whole family was excited to have some Korean food. DWI NEVER disappoints!! Everything is rich in flavor and portions are fantastic for sharing. Their sides are amazing. Ramen is delicious. Bulgolgi is out of this world and the Kimchi Haemulpajeon is the best i have had!!

Our visit to this location was very disappointing. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to even come up to our table and we had no drinks until then. Even after our food was out, the waitress didn’t check on us at all. My dolsot bibimbap was so underwhelming - lacking in flavor and the beef I asked for was ground beef…. gross. On top of the terrible service and the less than mediocre food, there’s 18% gratuity automatically added to each check no matter the size of your party, and 20% added to parties of five or more. Considering that the service was severely lacking, 18% is a bit much. Avoid!!!!

The food was too salty and the smell of cosmetics in the rice was so bad that I couldn't eat it. I ordered japchae and kimchi, green onion pancakes, rice cake, dumplings, and soup, but eventually gave up. I wasn't grateful when they told me they would deduct 15% of the order amount. There was no apology. This is a restaurant I don't want to go to a second time. The food may be salty, but I really disliked their attitude. In short, it was a disaster. It would have been better to eat a McDonald's hamburger. It's a waste of time, a waste of gas, and annoying...

I used to love this place; however the food quality and service have been declining over the year.I got the Kalbi for $31.99, and the meat were thin and flavorless. The seafood soup was even worse! Majority was covered with tofu. I got two shrimps and one clamp.I ended up paying over 100 for three dishes.I am very disappointed and displeased of this place. I rather go to unlimited BBQ for a cheaper price.

I went and had Korean BBQ for the first time. I was kind of hesitant to try it. It was definitely difficult looking at the menu since it was in Korean. But my server (I believe her name was Kimberly) was the absolute best server you could ask for, and helped me know what everything was. It’s different from American bbq. Not in a bad way. Just different. Really terrific meat and rice

I'm pretty sure they used to give you seven little dishes with the purchase of an entree, but now they give you four and you have to share them with the person across from you.I'm pretty sure they used to give me fish cake, and kimchi and some sort of cucumber or zucchini dish and potato salad. But I definitely didn't get the fish cake this time, which kind of made me sad.If you're going to spend almost $20 on Asian food before tip or text, there's a lot of places where you could do it and get fuller.I'm giving it four stars but I probably would have given it five if it was a slightly better value.Kid-friendliness: There is no kids menu.

I discovered Korean food from seeing mukbang on YouTube. The food looked delicious and I had to try. DWJ on Hackscross is not far from me and I'm so glad. The food is different and delicious. It's not the same old thing we're always eating. I've triedseveral items from their menu and truly enjoyed each one. There is a stew with cod roe in it. I love it! It has a wonderful savory taste and they always cook the vegetables perfectly. I ask for it to be on the mild side. Koreans can eat very spicy foods. Even if it's spicier than I prefer it's still delicious. I like to eat about 3/4 of it which I split into two meals and I put white rice in what is left and finish off all the goodness. I highly recommend DWJ, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

It was awesome, more than I expected honestly. Loved the grill, bugolgi, and the best rice cake noodles in the red sauce.

My family and I ordered Japchae, Dolsot Bibimbap, and Bulgogi. The Bulgogi was far more flavorful than the previous Korean restaurant I’ve gone too. The Japchae was a delight, and the Bibimbap was the perfect choice for my gluten free family member. The food was delicious.I will say: For the 4 of us, only 4 side dishes were given. Less than what I’m used to at Korean Restaurants. However, it worked out because my family is still shy with Korean flavors/foods.There were many food options and the service was fast and polite; the bathroom was clean and smelt very nice. The whole restaurant had a pleasant ambience and was clean. The owner was extremely kind!As a student learning Korean, I approached them with my timid Korean and they were extremely sweet and accommodating :))A very good time all around.고맙습니다!

DWJ is our go-to for Korean barbecue in the Memphis area. They only have the one server and she does a great job! Keep in mind, they have signage that indicates they automatically charge gratuity on all orders (dine in and carry out).We love the bulgogi and ribs. Tonight we tried the kimbop appetizer (looks like a sushi roll made with kimchi).

The portion sizes are a bit small, but the food tastes pretty good. I wish the side dishes were bigger since they are shared at the table. The prices are decent and the service is good overall, so thumbs up from me!

Horrible experience, the service was appalling, I should have walked out. I am friendly and not picky, but I was shocked by this! When I first walked in I waited for at least 10 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever. I should’ve left then! But it was cold and rainy and I love Korean soups, we used to live in Korea. When the hostess/waitress finally noticed me she waved me to a table, where I waited for another 15 minutes with no response and no menu. Other tables were sitting without service as well. I finally got up and walked to the counter and found the waitress sitting in a chair leaning against the wall scrolling her phone! She didn’t even notice me. I asked for a menu she gave me one and told me to come back up to let her know when I knew what I wanted. Holy cow!As I looked at the menu another person walked in for pick up, and stood at the counter for ages and ages…looking around in confusion. The waitress had ducked into the kitchen, I could see her through the door window still scrolling her phone leaning against a counter! After watching this poor woman wait I went up and called into the kitchen that we needed someone. She helped the woman and then finally came to my table and took my order.I waited for far too long for my food (they were not busy, empty but for our 3 tables) during which time I saw the same waitress argue with a table of two that the 20% automatic gratuity was policy for all tables. Though the menu I was looking at said only for parties of six which is standard. Not two. She was deliberately stealing tips from customers, after they had been ignored completely for the entire now 40+ minutes I was there. They angrily paid the bill.I received my food, and ate as neither myself nor any other table received service at all. I again had to go to the counter to ask for my check and a box. I was also charged the 20% automatic gratuity. I placed cash on the table and left furious. The location closer to Memphis is better, nicer, staff were very nice and the food was excellent! This place you wouldn’t even know if food was good or not because you were so frustrated by the terrible service. That waitress needs serious training, or to be fired, she clearly couldn’t care less about her customers, good work ethic, or even being honest.

I wanted to love this place but can’t. 18% automatic tip on dine in or take out. Food was very very sub par. Bulgogi was good. Pork belly had no taste. And side dishes were just off.
