this no-frills establishment in CY serves up the best Korean food in town - some of the best I've had anywhere. I had the squid last night and it was perfection, firm, fresh, and swimming in a delicious spicy sauce.I've been there 3-4 times now over the past year and every time it has been delicious. The place is never crowded, which is a blessing for me but hopefully he's getting enough business to stay open. I highly recommend, but don't go crazy. And you can bring your own wine for a small corkage fee...

It was a chilly weekend evening, and we all went here to have a dinner. We started with spicy Korean style pancake. I guess there was some seafood was also inside. It was good. However, it’s quite big. So, don’t forget to share otherwise you will be full. We ordered a bunch of different Korean bbq meats. Instead of grilling them ourselves, we left the job for the chefs inside. The good took some time to come, which assured us that everything was freshly prepared. We ordered Galbi, bulgogi, Korean style bulgogi, and the pork belly ( can’t remember the name). All of them were simply terrific. They were perfectly seasoned, spicy, grilled to perfection. The pork belly was a bit dry, however it had a smoky flavor and aroma which was absolutely irresistible. They served rice, some kimchi, and other Korean condiments to it. One of our friends ordered a bowl of bibimbap, which was also very fresh, hot and absolutely filling. Overall, the food was very good, and we all loved it. Highly recommended!
My first time there. The waiter, I think he owns or co owns the restaurant, made suggestions and everything was great. I had a beef dish and would suggest it to anyone. It was the "go to first time dish" As for ambiance, it was just a restaurant, clean, prompt service, good food, not a lot of people in there when I went. Which gave us the chance to talk to the waiter and make sure we knew what we were getting. I'll be back for sure.

We showed up to eat dinner around 6pm, upon arriving no one greeted us at the door, the person at the bar wouldn't look up. I approached her and asked if we just seat ourselves? She told me yes, she then told me that the owners (pointed to a table filled with people) were busy eating, and it would be awhile before they could be with us. Very disappointing to be told you could not eat at a restaurant publicly open

Having been a regular at the OG location on Hacks Cross, I was completely satisfied with my first time visit at the Midtown location. I would recommend a light jacket if you’re not going to be grilling at your table, as it was a bit chilly inside, but it was understandable why.Our waitress Lauren was great, and made our visit pleasant. I appreciate the pre-cook of the daeji bulgogi so we wouldn’t have to grill it for 10+ minutes at the table!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to have wheel chair enter, tables are spaced apart well enough.

The owner took care of us personally and the food was amazing. A million times better than anything I’ve had across the street at Mulan. Highly recommend, and will def be back. Spicy shrimp BBQ was so fire! The bulgogi beef was also delish. Nothing but good vibes and good food here.

Been here twice now. First time ordered out of the kitchen, second time grilled our own and brought in a bottle of wine. Both times were delicious!

Visited this Korean eatery after visiting another one in Memphis a few weeks prior. Instead of getting a meal cooked in the kitchen, we decided to try the BBQ option where you grill your own meats. We got chicken, beef, and pork during our visit. The meats were all good and the sides that come with it were good but it would be nicer if the portions were a bit bigger. The service was good and it wasn't too crowded. Not a bad restaurant though and I would visit it again.
Great Korean place. I have been here twice. Once I had a noodle dish and the other time a soup. Both were delicious. Also the kimchi is one of the best I tasted.

What a Wonderfully prepared korean meal! We ordered the Korean bbq with 3 different meats, as well as a few appetizers. Each bite was so delicious, from the first to the last bite, just wow!!! This korean style restaurant has food that pops! I'm unclear why it was so slow. There was only 1 other table filled in the restaurant.I really feel this restaurant deserves so much more business then it had the night that I was there. When I'm back in Memphis I'll definitely have to try it again and hopefully next time I go the place will be packed with people enjoying their Korean style food.
