Food quality was great but the service was incredibly slow - we were celebrating a birthday and brought in a special cake which was personalized -but when they brought the cake to the table it wasn’t the cake we brought! They replaced it with a cheap cake they had! Someone must have dropped it or an employee took it ? And they denied making a change! Absolutely flabbergasted. Will never return.
Exceptional experience at Ecco on Overton Park. We had a party of 5 and every person loved their dish. Great service from our knowledgeable server Kevin. Fairly large restaurant with an upscale flair but had a cozy relaxed atmosphere. Had the Fritto Misto, Crab Claws (these are a must!), Lobster Ravioli, Halibut, Beef Stroganoff, Sausage Orecchiette, and an amazing dessert. Make the trip to visit this restaurant!
This pains me to say this… Ecco has always been my favorite restaurant in Memphis. For my Birthday, my husband made a reservation and it was ughhh. Kevin stated he would course our meal… nope. It all came out within minutes. I’m a vegetarian so we asked the charcuterie not have the meat & cheese touch… nope. I asked if a dish could be confirmed vegetarian… nope. I had to have my husband test it for me… Drinks slow… watered down from ice cubes melting. I literally felt like I was in the movie Home Alone saying, “Where’s Kevin?” No mention of my Birthday…. We are on our way to another restaurant to hopefully make it a special night. Such a fall from grace. We most likely will never return.
I've been here many times before, but this time the food was a miss. The food menu was updated and needs fine tuning. I didn't like any of the entres. Bishop restaurant closed and was always amazing! I won't be back to this place. It's also So noisy, it needs noise panels , and the restaurant was empty..
Celebrated my birthday with my daughter and her beau. I had the lamb and it was amazing , the presentation was beautiful and the flavors popped. The cocktail was also quite delightful ! The tequila Tavi ? They came for me with a nice strawberry - blueberry cobbler that was light and tasty ! Nice touch with the ice cream and long burn sparkling candle 😋☺️😂
Best beef stroganoff in the town. Loved it.
This was my first visit and we loved it! We started with the Fritto Misto appetizer, which is fried Zucchini and Squash spears in a Tempura style batter served with a delicious sauce. It was incredible! For our entrees, we chose the Butternut Squash Ravioli and Spaghetti with Wild Mushrooms. We ordered the full portion size of each and are very glad we did, as the full portion of Ravioli is still rather small. Considering Raviolis are a more labor intensive dish to make, I can understand why, but I would certainly make sure to get a side dish with it in the future. The Spaghetti with Wild Mushrooms was a fantastic portion size though and was quite filling. For desert we had the Oreo Cheesecake and the Tiramisu. The Oreo Cheesecake came with a Strawberry Sauce and a Blackberry Sauce. I never thought to pair Oreo Cheesecake with a Blackberry Sauce, but I am so very glad they did. It was amazing together! Our favorite beverage of the night was the Tequi Tiki Tavi. Not only was it fun to say, it's also one of the best cocktails we've had in Memphis. The server was very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious! We decided the Fritto Misto was our favorite dish of the night. The atmosphere was perfect. They had a very talented Musician playing Guitar with a volume where you could enjoy the music, but still have a conversation without having to raise your voice. It was refreshing. We look forward to our next visit.
Awesome experience. Our waiter, Kevin, was great. Very knowledgeable. We had a problem with one of our meals that was addressed promptly and the replacement was amazing. The meatballs and stroganoff are excellent.

Great service and food, cocktails were ok I expected better.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this restaurant tonight. It was my first time, while it was my date's second visit. We were warmly greeted by the exceptional hostess and promptly seated despite not having a reservation.
The server was competent, though they seemed a bit inexperienced or disengaged. However, the hostess was incredibly kind and offered great assistance to the staff. I ordered the mussel linguini and my date chose the salmon, both accompanied by wine options available by the glass. I had initially requested a Pinot Noir but was informed it wasn't available that night. While disappointing, I understood it was part of the restaurant's routine.
The Oreo cheesecake for dessert was quite good as well. I appreciated the ambiance and overall experience, but I’m not sure I would return immediately.
A nice and tasty experience. While the back was quieter for conversation, the heat was uneven. Minor issue. A very cold night.
During our recent date night, we made reservations in advance and were warmly welcomed by a friendly hostess who clearly enjoyed her role.
After being seated, we were informed that our server would be with us shortly. However, “shortly” turned into a lengthy 15 minutes before my date finally had to catch the attention of a nearby employee.
While we waited, we took in the ambiance of the restaurant, which was quite pleasant. However, we couldn't help but notice that we were the only African Americans in the establishment. We tried not to let this cloud our experience, but after another 5-7 minutes without any acknowledgment (for a total of over 20 minutes), our waiter finally arrived and apologized for the delay.
We decided to order a few items from the menu, including Crab Claws and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Unfortunately, the Crab Claws were somewhat disappointing—overcooked and chewy at times. The Brussels Sprouts, on the other hand, were perfectly cooked but lacked any real flavor.
We continued to order more food, but the overall experience fell flat with everything tasting just average. The highlight of the meal ended up being the house-made cheesecake with an Oreo crust, which was genuinely enjoyable.
In total, we spent over $230, and while the cheesecake was a treat, the likelihood of us returning is slim unless it’s just to grab a slice to go!
Brought out daughter here for her 18th birthday and we loved it. From beginning to end, everything was wonderful. Definitely coming back!
