I really appreciated the customer service and the overall ambiance. I ordered the catfish and grits, as did the person I was with. The catfish was definitely a winner—hot, flavorful, and delicious. Unfortunately, the grits fell short. They weren’t seasoned and were served lukewarm, basically just grits with cheese. The menu photo showed shrimp with the dish, but they were out of shrimp that day.
I’m willing to give the restaurant another try because the experience wasn’t all bad, and I’d like to sample something different. Just be prepared to spend a bit—a meal for two with non-alcoholic drinks came to $65. I don’t mind paying that for an amazing meal, but when the food is underwhelming, it’s a little disappointing.

This was my second time visiting this establishment and just like the first time the staff has to gossip with each other and other people before they can take your order while your waiting in a tight small house where your in the way of everyone and just standing there while they continue to gossip and seemingly have a shuck and jive fest going on then you finally get to place your order I don’t only order chicken and fries and a single waffle it took over 30 minutes still no food but a lot of talking and huddling from the staff til I finally asked for a refund and they had the nerve to tell me everything was ready but the chicken well damn you got a waffle and some fries ready in 30 minutes but no chicken and to top it off everybody that ordered chicken behind me had already got there food and gone!! Terrible service twice!! Never again…

If I could zero stars I would. The hostess didn’t want to seat us. Said there was a 45 min wait when there were 3 empty tables. A group came in after us and because they didn’t want to lose their money they seated us n the group immediately. I had to ask the waitress for a high chair 4 times and she still didn’t get it, until I asked someone else. The food was mid. The atmosphere was cramped and they took 1 hour to even bring our food. If you’re an interracial couple don’t go here. It gave Cracker Barrel vibes.
