Charged me 22 dollars for a bread sandwich ordered the rib end sandwich bread and fat and a baby jar size of potato salad they are a rip off came from Oklahoma was very disappointed
In my opinion the best BBQ sauce in the country, wish they shipped that stuff. Ribs were also phenomenal. Very friendly service as well.
I didn't know about Elwood Shack until about a couple of years ago. Love this place! I've ordered some type of sandwich in the past and their pork quesadillas. Yum. Everything is good at this place and so many options to choose from.
If you’re trepidatious because of how it looks on the outside—don’t be! The staff is super welcoming and the wonderful gentleman at the counter happily took us through their extensive menu. We got the platter that had a little of everything and we loved it. They’ve got the best potato salad I’ve ever had! Please don’t miss this spot.
Burnt ends were so burnt could barely chew! Ribs were ok, meal was very expensive for what we got. Inside was not what you want when eating food, flies everywhere.
We were staying couple of nights in Memphis and wanted to experience a local BBQ joint. This is about as authentic as it gets! We had beef brisket and pulled pork one night and ribs the next night. Yes, we ate there both nights, it was so good. But the best was the cole slaw! They made it with red cabbage, jalapenos, and blue cheese. The best I've ever eaten. The staff were courteous, kind, and funny. My kind of place! 5 STARS
Ordered nachos with brisket, but they gave us pulled torque and it was cold. I left the food on the counter and stormed out of there.
The food was alright, considering the price. got the mushroom Swiss burger. It was definitely a passage burger, nothing to complain about but also nothing special. The mushroom Swiss from Whataburger was much better, I think using an au jus would help Elwood's be better than them but currently it's simple ketchup and mayo. From a restaurant with such a reputation, I was expecting more.
Elwood’s Shack is a Memphis treasure. The food is always fresh and delicious. Please support your local restaurants!❤️
Awesome food! Friendly, helpful staff!! 10/10 will definitely be back!

Solid pulled pork brisket.
Ridiculously good! I’ve tried many popular Memphis BBQ spots. Don’t skip this one! The ribs have the perfect bark that you can’t enjoy by picking them up because the bones will slide right out. The sauce is masterfully made in house, and it shows! I didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman that took my order took great pride in showing me suggestions from each section of the menu. Simply fantastic!

Fantastic food, although the fish taco wasn't very good. Generous portions and friendly staff

I was hoping to order the brisket breakfast burrito, but arrived at 11am after they stopped serving breakfast. Ordered the regular brisket burrito and it was just OK. The scent of the shack is INCREDIBLE and both the Brisket and Pork sandwiches looked good, so I probably just mis-ordered. Someone ordered nachos and they came out on a full size food tray. Service was outstanding!
