Great staff. Had the burnt ends sandwich, the KC Melt, and it was the best sandwich I have had maybe ever. Blue cheese slaw was great too. Scheming already on when I can get back over there. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Went with a group of nine and had the only large seating area in a fairly small restaurant so I do not recommend for large groups.I'm a long term fan of Elwoods near Perkins and Summer. This one on Park had same terrific sandwiches abd EXTENSIVE menu. Sadly the one I picked today - debris - did not taste like they ones I loved in New Orleans but there are plenty of great choices on the menu. Prices for sandwiches are a bit on high side but quality and quantity make them worth more than the large chain offerings. My sticker shock was $'3.25 for tea! It was self serve in a souvenir cup but I'd rather have a plain cup at cheaper price.What surprised me at this location? Beautiful aquarium with gorgeous fish.

I usually go to their original location, but I was out east and decided to give this one a try. I enjoyed the parmesan fries and my po'boy sandwich. The staff was very friendly, and its larger inside seating capacity with the retro decor is cool.

Man this place is in my top 2 best bbqs in the country! And I've been to every bbq state! This was number one for a very long time! The service was amazing and I went before closing time. So imagine that the food still good and service still stellar 30 minutes before closing. They let me finish my food as they were cleaning. The ambiance is a shack small cozy and nothing over the top in decor. You can tell it's just a team doing their thing and I respect that. I was recommended this place my buddy who is a Memphis native. The food was so delicious I forgot to use the sauce, the sauce was also delicious, but good bbq lets the meat speak and the sauce can really hide the flaws in bbq. I'm glad that didn't happen here. I would recommend this place to any serious bbq lover who wants good bbq and not just some meat with sauce on it to be called bbq, yeah chicken I'm talking about you, you're not bbq because you have sauce.

1st time going and atmosphere is very unique. The service by J.P. and A.J. was above par. The food here..... so great that I was going to get an order to, but my wallet had other plans. ? For two people that want a good variety and eat great, the SHAQ ATTACK (highly recommend) . The Brisket sandwich is worth it for the amount on that sandwich. Same for the steelhead trout tacoWill DEFINITELY go back again. ??

The fish pizza was amazing ?? Generous chunks of trout, fresh pico & avocado, and great crust!Our party of 6 agreed that the pizza was the most delicious, unique, and best value of the dishes we ordered (ranging from sandwiches, quesadillas, and parm fries).Some of the other dishes were too salty and the BBQ was just alright. Give the juices from Tractor Beverage a try though!Overall, a lovely meal in a fun, quirky environment with very nice people.

This was my 1st visit to Elwood's Shack on Park. The look, the smells and all around atmosphere were awesome. My muffaletta was delicious and my buddy loved his torta. My only disappointment was they were out of fries! I will be back to try some things off their extensive menu.
