Incredible food. Was so fast I couldn’t believe it. Very obviously authentic international food, the entire kitchen is visible through glass. All the cooks are amazing. They have a small bar with a few cool craft beers, and a nice selections of artistic cocktails.

DISGUSTING FOOD AND MANAGEMENT!!
In all honesty, the food here is absolutely horrendous. When you think you can’t go wrong with something like a quesadilla, WRONG. Yes you can. It comes out cold, but the steak is over cooked due to sitting all day and tastes boiled at best. The asado bowl tastes like nothing. The stuffed arepa dough is way too dense, a true disgrace to the name. The pabellón is cold and dry. Trust me, every meal lacks flavor and intention!

Global Cafe promotes itself as having such great missions and values but demonstrates the complete opposite. I can say that none of this is reflected by Juan, the general manager. Juan’s character does not align with anything that this restaurant claims to stand for. To say the least, he degrades his employees and disrespects them heavily.
He “greets” guests by talking across the kitchen with food in his mouth. It’s unsanitary and unwelcoming! When you ask him questions regarding the dishes, he seems annoyed and does not elaborate on anything.
So, if you truly care about great food, empowerment, or morals, DO NOT COME NEAR THIS PLACE. Thank you :)

Ordered the Empanadas and all I can say is very bland and overpriced. My girlfriend got the Dama with Rous, it was dry and cold. Would NOT go back. Juan, the manager, was inattentive and unprofessional while I was waiting to place my order.

DISGUSTING FOOD AND MANAGEMENT!! In all honesty, the food here was just as bad before and after the time that I worked here. When you think you can’t go wrong with something like a quesadilla, WRONG. Yes you can. It comes out cold, but the steak is over cooked due to sitting all day and tastes boiled at best. Trust me, every meal lacks flavor. Now let’s discuss “management”. Global Cafe promotes itself as having such great missions and values but demonstrates the complete opposite. Based on the past 3 months I have been working here, I can say that none of this is reflected by Juan, who is somehow the general manager. Juan’s character does not align with anything that this restaurant claims to stand for. To say the least, he degrades his employees and disrespects them heavily. Not once did he train me or other new employees, but gets mad when they ask crucial questions (he will yell across the store and embarrass them publicly). Throughout my shifts, I am on my toes making sure everything is done and guests are satisfied while Juan is in the kitchen eating. This is always the case and is pretty unsanitary to see him digging his bare hands in the food, condiments, and fryer. He “greets” guests by talking across the kitchen with food in his mouth. On top of this, he manually alters timesheets; you do not get paid for coming in early to get started or when you stay after during a rush. But here’s the kicker: I got fired from the job during the restaurant’s holiday break, and found out by going into the company app to check my schedule but seeing that I’d been locked out. No communication, no signs, no heads up, nothing. I am truly appalled by this experience. I had to reach out to Juan out of utter shock just for him to reply a few days later that he has no hours for me. The least he could have done was come forward and let me know. I would like to not let Juan’s actions define Global Cafe, but I reached out to Sabine, the store owner, regarding this situation. It has been two days and she failed to reply to my concerns as well. So, if you truly care about great food, empowerment, or morals, DO NOT COME NEAR THIS PLACE. Thank you :)

Global Café at Crosstown managed to do the impossible: serve shawarma that was an insult to the word “shawarma.” Two orders came out as gravy-soaked chicken dumped on pita, like someone skimmed a definition once and said, “Yeah, close enough.”

The burrito, asado bowl, and fajita de pollo all tasted like they’d been carefully engineered to meet the legal minimum requirement for “flavor.” The nachos were so bland that the random jazzy spice mix sprinkled on top felt more like confetti at a funeral for taste buds than actual seasoning. One star, only because zero isn’t an option.

Great venue, lovely vibe, but the food is a disaster on another level.

We had the Dama With Rous, the Friday fried chicken special, and a couple modelo negras. Perfect all around.

Great food, strong drinks, and a friendly staff. Global has been one of my go to retsaurants, but I just had the Mole for the first time, and y'all, it's the best mole I've ever had! Perfect amount of spice and great blend of flavors. And, if you can somehow manage to save some, it is even better the next day. Juan isn't playing around with those margaritas either; if you know you know.

I am very disappointed in the decline of the food at this restaurant. I use to be a weekly patron. They USE to have great food. At the end of August 2025 I bragged to my out of town family about the food and Global Cafe straight embarrassed me. The food was bland and lacked flavor and the fried food was soooo greasy. It was horrible. We had cerviche, empanadas, somali spaghetti, and kuku paka. After that experience I just decided not to return especially for the price. Today , 3 months later I was like let me try them again and maybe that was a fluke. The food was equally as bland and unappealing as before (quesadilla and carnita asada bowl ). At this point, its a wrap for me and Global Cafe. It's too much money to waste and that stinks because I love the atmosphere especially in the summer and the margaritas. I'm not sure what's happening over there but it is soooo disappointing that what use to be a fabulous and flavorful menu has become as exciting and flavorful as cardboard.

Food lacked any flavor and I’m so disappointed, especially for what I paid. The same can be said of the soup, which has a gritty taste. Proportions were generous but taste was incredibly lacking - I don’t have much else to say save *insert crying emoji here*

Food is great, Margaritas ($3.95 Tues/Thurs/Sun) are awesome, Juan is the closet thing to Jesus that has ever walked Earth.
