Food is amazing, dining area is spacious bu cozy, take out seemed fast and staff was absolutely incredible!!! a must visit for those staying a while and passing throug (free to-go cup as a souvenir also!!!)

Chicken was great! The sides were not all that. Canned greens and boxed mac'n'cheese are the sides I had. Maybe next time I'll stick with fries and okra.

They still have it going on here at Gus's on Mendenhall! As I entered, I was promptly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Once seated, my server Ariel, brought my beverage quickly and took my order. She also notified me about the special they had going on, which I thought was nice if I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck. The food was excellent as usual and came out quickly. During my dining experience, Ariel checked on me multiple times and offered desert once I was done. I swear this lady has to get about 100k steps a day because she had multiple tables and I watched her take care of all of them. Gus is lucky I live in Atlanta, or I would be trying to steal their employee for my establishment.

It really is a shame and I hope it's only at this location but they decided to make a very disingenuous product over the past few months. The chickens are smaller, poorly butchered and overcooked. The price still goes up which is okay if you aren't sacrificing your integrity with sub par offerings. We'll try other locations in the future.
