I ordered a special buy 9 wings get 3 free I called the order in still had to wait over 30 min get to the restaurant my order is not done than gives me plan wings after I ordered honey hot lemon pepper and gives me ranch for the flavor of the wings I will never be back nor recommend their

I am born and raised in Chicago. I grew up off Harold’s chicken. My daughter told me about this place & said they was a real Harolds chicken, and they had a number cause all Harolds chicken that has a number behind it .so I decided to give them a try. I pull up and notice the sign that says five piece thigh, fries, and slaw for $6.99 so that’s what I ordered and a wing dinner for my wife. I open the bag and noticed there was no fries or coleslaw. (in Chicago you get fries and coleslaw with every meal at Harolds chicken) I told the lady at the counter that I did not get my fries or my coleslaw. She says fries and slaw. Don’t come with it. I said this is what the sign say. She says that’s what the outside sign says but that’s not what the inside say, you looked at the sign when you ordered if you want fries and coleslaw, you have to pay for it. I say but that’s not what the sign say. She calls the cook some dude with red dreadlocks and we discussed the situation. He says if you want fries and coleslaw you got to pay for it. We go back-and-forth. He says I get 10 people a day about the same thing. I said if that’s the case take the sign out the window. He says we can go back-and-forth for the next five or 10 minutes and it still gonna be the same. I said coming from a management point of view it would make more sense to apologize for the inconvenience and give me the fries and coleslaw and remove the sign from the window. He says, do you want to pay for some fries or not? Cause it ain’t going to change. I said bad news travel faster than good news. The young lady says to him I can’t believe as old as he is he tripping about some fries and coleslaw. I Say don’t worry about it. You just lost a customer. I wanted a refund but the sign says no refund. I go to my car and come back in and take a picture of the sign inside and outside she’s saying to the cook he petty then a MF. I was furious and started to just throw the food away but I said, at least let me taste it and it was horrible. It is not Harold’s chicken from Chicago. The chicken sucks. This is a prime example of why Black people don’t support other black businesses. The other three customers that was in there at the time was just shaking their head because of how they handled the situation. I pleaded with them that if this is the case, take the sign out the window then. He says, do you want to pay for some fries and coleslaw or what. At the end of the day customer service sucks, and the food is not the real deal.. i’m sorry, but the way they treated me with their responses was unacceptable, disrespectful and not business minded. Don’t waste your time spending your money on food that is not the same as they claim to be with so much disrespect like ain’t know where else you can buy food. ( look up Harold’s chicken in Chicago and you will see that every harold’s chicken restaurant has a number behind it to see which location it is. It will be on the receipt, which is not on my receipt.
