The restaurant is located on North Main Street and was only a short walk away from our hotel the Crowne Plaza which is located on North 2nd Street. We had passed this restaurant several times and on this occasion we decided to give it a try for breakfast. We both tried Willies Big Breakfast with Toast, Coffee and Orange juice and we were not disappointed. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

I was sure the guy adding up our breakfast cost was making it up. Horrible service. Greasy to the point of gross food. We will never go back. Memphis needs a McDonalds and other restaurants downtown really bad.

Prices were not transparent and ended up being far higher than I expected based on reviews. Food was cooked to order, which seems unnecessary given their limited breakfast menu. It may work better later in the day if the menu is more expensive. It took an hour for them to fully serve our group. I thought that the food was fine, but the teenagers in our group were much less enthusiastic.

The food was outstanding and well seasoned. The soul food menu was very well stacked. It was reasonably priced as well.
My husband and are here for a convention and we’ve heard lots of complaints about not being able to find a place to eat within walking distance. I don’t know how people could miss this place. It’s SO close to the convention center. We had the smothered chicken special, chicken wings, mashed potatoes, turnip greens and peach cobbler. We were both absolutely satisfied with everything! I hear their breakfast is great (huge). Hope you get a chance to try it.
