I had a taste for a few donuts and with all the holiday traffic I selected this spot. I’ve been here several times and today was the worse service, he was probably getting ready to close. But in sales, the last customer deserves the same courtesy as the first. As I looked over the bare selection, I ordered four donuts as I thought about Gibsons Donuts from his attitude. He must be the owner. Last visit for me.
I finally tried Howard's donuts and I am so impressed. The reason I had not gone before is because I am 20+ minutes away, so it just wasn't convenient. I went about 1p on Tuesday, no one inside but drive thru was steady. Was happy to see the large selection to choose from. It was a hard decision, but I got the red velvet cake, the plain cake and the maple bacon. All of them were delicious. The bacon on the maple donut was perfectly cooked. I think it has a hint of glaze...
I was looking for a Homer Simpson donut and they have it!
They call it a Texas Donut.. but in the picture you can compare its size to the dozen box.. and that bite is from my big ole mouth ... so it's a big donut.
