Great staff and an amazing atmosphere! Starting your day with blues music in a cozy setting—this place immediately feels right. And Richy was the absolute sweetest! We’ll definitely be back!

My latte was good, but 20 mins until it was ready. Granted, the shop was busy, but I would expect faster service with “Hustle” in the name. I also tried to order food, but they were only serving half pizzas and salads, and I didn’t want either, so I ordered a piece of sweet potato pie, influenced by their sign that said they had it. The clueless cashier went to check to see if they had any when my latte was finally ready, and reported back that the kitchen couldn’t find any. At least they gave me a refund. Nice hotel lobby seating area with an outdoor patio too.

I love this little hidden gem. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I ordered the avocado toast and the yogurt bowl. At first I was a little worried about the granola because it is made in house, but once I took a bite out of it my taste buds exploded with pure joy.The granola was the definition of yummy. The avocado toast was very pretty to look at, the avocado to toast ratio was spot on, and it was overall the best I have ever had. A gentleman by the name of Will cooked and hand delivered my food to my table. He was polite, well groomed, and very professional. I was very happy with the food portions, the service, the price, and most of all the cleanliness of the restaurant. This little hidden gem shined bright like a DIAMOND!!! I will most definitely be returning.

Easily my favorite coffee shop in Memphis.
Hustle & Dough on South Main is so much more than a coffee shop — it’s like the living room of our downtown community. I’ve spent countless mornings and afternoons here meeting friends, working, or just soaking in the vibe. The coffee’s incredible (get the Bourbon Mocha — trust me), and the food is next-level. The French toast and avocado toast are both unreal.
The space itself is beautiful — seriously one of the most stylish spots in the city. It’s got this perfect mix of Memphis history and modern design — old maps and antiques mixed with clean lines and cozy corners. Whether you’re here to catch up with someone or get a few hours of work done, there’s a perfect spot waiting for you.
But honestly, what makes this place special is the people. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and they somehow remember you — you feel like you belong here. And the crowd is always a fun mix — hotel guests, locals, artists, business folks, even the occasional celebrity. It’s just a really special place that brings people together.
If you’re in downtown Memphis, this is the spot.

I was told a baked good was gluten-free when it wasn’t, which could have been a serious issue for my celiac son. Our drinks were ordered to go but came in a mug and a glass instead, and one of the two hot drinks was served iced. The space is beautiful, but the service was lacking and the drinks were just okay.
Oh my goodness… the best chocolate chip cookie ever! Not really chocolate chip but rather a layer of thick chocolate in the middle. Inhaled the delicious cookie. Went back for another.

I asked the barista what her favorite drink was at the moment. She said the banana chai. So that is what I ordered. It did not disappoint! Honestly, it was one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had. And the service was fantastic.

Lately, the service and quality of the food has been noticeably different. They used to make all of their breads and pastries in house, and that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore, but I could be wrong. Regardless, the avocado toast has been one of my favorite breakfasts in town for years, but as of late, the portion size has been cut in half, the flavors have been out of balance with globs of jalapeños dumped on top, and the bread is lackluster to say the least…. My friend got the tamago egg salad, and it didn’t look like something you would want to eat. The bread was stale, it was drowning in mayo, so much so that the egg could not be held between the slices of bread, and overall a night and day different between how it used to be prepared with fluffy thick bread, and balanced ingredients. The staff is friendly, but I asked for my drinks ‘to go’ three times and they still came out in glassware. The atmosphere is unbeatable, and it’s one of the best places to work remotely, but I wish the food quality could match what it used to be.

A nice quaint little coffee shop in the lobby of a hotel. My wife and I were in the area and decided to try it. It was a Saturday morning so there was a nice crowd. We found a nice place to sit at the door to enjoy our coffee and pastries! We enjoyed ourselves!

Hustle & Dough is a beautiful cafe that shares space with their bar located in the lobby of the Arrive Hotel. The quirky decor and interior design are artsy and fun! Love the bright colors paired with antique furniture. The host and baristas are all friendly and courteous. I tried their barrel aged bourbon mocha latte and coconut lavender latte. Loved the creativity behind the bourbon mocha—extremely sweet and astringent. I just wished both lattes was topped off with latte art and particularly that the coconut lavender latte was more stronger and concentrated in coffee flavor. The overall drink was quite weak. Definitely a must stop when in downtown Memphis.
