I'm not vegan, but wanted to try a vegan dish so I ordered the Gumbo which was not good to me. I've had gumbo before but not vegan so I'm not sure what to expect. It had corn kernels which was definitely a surprise item. The texture and taste of the gumbo was disappointing. It was like a stew with rice.

We throughly enjoyed our lunch here! It is located in a fun area of town, so give yourself time to check out the bookstore and other shops nearby. The portions were large and a good deal for the price. I shared the Large Memphis BBQ platter with my elementary-school aged son and we still brought home leftovers. It comes with two large BBQ sandwiches and 2 sides, which you can substitute for no charge. They even brought it out on two plates already separate to make sharing easy. The sandwiches were delicious! We also ordered 2 drumsticks to take home, and they tasted great the next day. I wish we had been hungry enough to order dessert! They had several cake options that looked amazing. My son loved the pictures of animals painted on the walls. We will be back again!

Imagine Vegan Cafe I visited this Vegan Restaurant for the first time I was passing through Memphis, and used the Happy Cow App on my phone to locate an open Veg Restaurant. This one was open, and I saw some of the poor reviews, but tried it anyway.
Parking could be an issue, but I found a spot, prices weren't low, but the food was good, and the dessert cookie took me days to eat

Hard to find, parking can be poor, but I would try again, the food was that good

Ordered the Vegan Memphis Sandwich Platter with seasoned greens. My favorite was the BBQ beans. The greens were pretty good the sandwich itself was tasty but I couldn’t finish it and barely touched the fries, it just was a lot of heavy food. Had to take a long walk to Overton Park afterwards.

I went to this place with my family back in August 2020, while we were road-trippin' along I-40 from CA to TN to take my sister out to college in Chattanooga. This was one of the best vegan places I've ever been to! My mom came across this place while we were enjoying our first moments in Tennessee. We did have to do some navigating through some interesting parts of town that made us feel a little uncomfortable (cuz this is Memphis), but when we got to the place, we found out why so many people recommended it! This little street business is quite the gem in the surrounding neighborhood. Parking does seem a little limited as it's all along the street. The chicken and waffles were AMAZING! That was one of our first tastes of the South that we will never forget 🤤

We left with full bellies and happy memories. The atmosphere is calming and comfortable. The decor is heart warming with happy farm animals. The staff was super nice and helpful. There is a corner offering kid toys or art to keep them busy. My 6yr old daughter chose the animal figures to play with while waiting on food. She really enjoyed her meal, she even said “this is so good.” She is super picky so I knew she was content. I wish we lived closer so we could stop in more often. This was a dinner stop on our way home to STL, MO. Please support their business. 🐮🐷🐔🐶🐱🐰
