Food is actually purchasing bagged beans of coffee for professional or personal use. The roasting quality is sublime and smooth. The variety allows for different palates.

I had my first cup of the Carpe Noel roast this morning and I am in LOVE!! Rich and smooth, “liquid candy bar” is an appropriate description! (I ground my beans fine, and brewed in a moka pot. Perfection!)

The warehouse spot given from Google Maps was for their roasting center, but they sold bags of coffee (which is what I wanted). They had a list of places where you could buy their coffee bags or cups of their coffee. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about different coffee beans and roasts.

J Brooks has been my go to for the past two or so years.I'm a huge fan of the old country whole bean espresso. Consistent roast and quality. John will talk coffee with you all day if you have the time! If you love coffee, forget the store brands and give them a try. May cost a little more, but well worth it. This place is second to none in Memphis!

Got a French Press for Christmas and have been making some delicious coffee. I wanted to try some high quality coffee and coarse ground can be difficult to find at the store. I stopped by J Brooks and picked up three bags of their various dark roast coffees. All three are even better than I could have imagined. Deep, rich, creamy and bold. So smooth. Zero bitterness. The Onyx had hints of chocolate and a long finish. The aroma permeated the whole house for hours after I had brewed. It made me crave another pot. The Bootleg was more complex than a fine cabernet. Every sip I discovered something new. The Gallant was super bold and rich. It's what you expect from fine gourmet coffee. Don't be afraid of the dark. There is no bitterness here, only rich creamy smoothness.

I was really excited to try this coffee! My husband went on a work trip and I had him pick me up the Ethiopian and Guatemala. The Ethiopian had medium and smooth on the label so I figured it was a medium blend. Upon opening the beans were extremely dark and its definitely a dark roast. Couldn't even drink it as it was too bitter for my liking. The Guatemala is a medium roast but I just can't seem to extract any good flavors on a pour over. Not sure if there was mix up or what but not what I expected. I also would've like a roasting date but there was none.
