Jack Pirtle's Chicken

What happened to pirtles? This place shouldn't be able to keep the name. The biscuits changed many years ago but now the chicken doesn't taste or resemble what it once was. You can get better fried chicken across the street at churches or down the street at dodges. The fries and gravy was nothing like it used to be. It's edible but not very enjoyable also the even co sucked. The lady taking orders was super friendly and sweet. SIKE!!!

I might try another location some day but never again this spot. Its a shame how bad its become. Back in the 80s it was the best chicken and nothing came close.

It is always disappointing when I stop in our neighborhood and eat at a chain only to be highly let down. That was my experience today as I stopped at this location on Elvis Presley . Orders 2 combos: cheeseburger and steak sandwich with a sprite. Got to the window, paid and WAITED. I was waiting long enough that the car behind me pulled off. As I waited I looked at my receipt and saw the burger was coded as everything. NORMALLY, when at a food place they ask you if you want everything but that did not happen. Additionally I saw the sprite was in fact Sierra mist. Again, this in customer service style is usually information that is given so you have an option whether you want the alternative. I got my order, finally and asked if there was ketchup in the bag to which the older lady stated there was. I looked and could see packets so I moved on. Once home, the disappointment continued. My burger. Tasted nothing like the delicious burger i have had at other locations. Yuck. The meat tasted old or something. And the fries were a complete miss. How do you mess up crinkle fries. The report on the steak sandwich was also that it tasted nothing like usual and salty. Needless to say i will never visit this location again. I'm paying the same money for a substandard meal.

Excellent sweet wings. They are a mustard sauce and incredible. You get an entire wing. All three pieces. I heard the coleslaw and was disappointed. I figured it would be homemade but it's from GFS. Otherwise. Wings were mmmm mmmmm good

The parking lot was trashy and lot of debris was scattered around and when placed my order the drive thru woman rude and uneducated so when I received order my gizzards was stale and not cooked thoroughly I recommend no one should eat here

I love this place. I've been going to different locations around Memphis for years. They have a steak sandwich with slaw and gravy, fried chicken livers, and chicken that's all worth risking your life over. Grab your piece if you carry like me, and head to your nearest location that is still open and get you some good food!

Then I order a side of rice
To find the rice was not ready. After 9 am food should be hot and crispy. Nope not the case
This is my last time order. I was trying to give Jack Pirtle another chance because of my mother was so love with food
But to find out she was disappointed again x4........
