I'm no longer going to patronize them anymore. The one on Highland was the best. The one on Jackson should be closed!! I was surprised about my food at this location. I guess it's a new day and I need to close the door with Jack Pirtle's chicken.

First every customer has to go through the drive thru. There was a man walking through the drive- thru really. That elderly lady on the window is very grouchy and rude needs to retire and go home somewhere . The food was God awful.

I have been going here for years. The last month or so every time I go to the one on Mount Moriah, my food is completely messed up. This time they didnât even cook my freaking hotdog. Had to show this. Donât know if itâs new management or what but this is ridiculous. This is a hotdog with chili/cheese/slaw.

The dining room looks like the place is under construction. The drive thru is all that's open. Staff rush thru their job unhappy and I didn't like that. Otherwise the food is good.
Parking: Not really a busy place at any one moment of any day.
The meal I received was not fresh and the drive-thru cashier exhibited poor customer service skills. The wait time was excessive and the service was very slow.

Jack Pirtle's Chicken ăSTAY AWAYă
To begin with, whenever we have an urge for fried chicken, Jack Pirtle's was the spot! A good treat every now and then. It isn't one near us, so we have to make it a stop, get off the expressway, get our food, and then get back on to go home. For the most part, the team there has been congenial, or like my husband would say, tolerable.
Now, today, we are sickened with disgust! We had an "urge" for some fried chicken and I went. Once I made it home, for some reason, I was just picking over my food. Lo and behold while "picking" at my food, I discovered a W.O.R.M.!!! I immediately expelled everything my stomach had for the last week it seemed like. Every time I thought of it, I had to barf again!!!
Gaining my composure, I went back. I believe, they could be the only full service restaurant in Memphis that has a dine in area, however, it is closed. Drive-thru service only. I knocked on the front door. Knock. Knock. Nothing urgent. It was ignored. So, I walked around to the drive-thru window and asked the patron currently at the window if it was okay for me to show management my order. By this time, I had taken the chicken breast out to show them. The patron in line asked if she could see it and took a picture. I showed it to the manager and she quickly asked for me to go around to the front door. She opened the door then. I showed it to her and asked for a refund.
Then she tried to glaze me like a doughnut!!! LOL She asked if I wanted to wash my hands. I look at her quizzically like, that is odd. I'm like what is she up to. So I'm game. I went to wash my hands in that filthy restroom only to come back and immediately met with fraudulency.
She had the audacity to pull the gristle from the bone of the chicken breast and put that in my face and tell me this is what I saw. And further insult me by saying, "Since you were so kind to me, I will give you a refund this time." Huh? She asked if I had pictures. I told her yes from all angles. They are attached. You be the judge. For those that eat chicken breast, is this a gristle or a worm? Get out of here with that! We all know this is a W.OR.M.!!! She was adamant about me putting the chicken breast in her hands into a towel. We all know why. So she could try and manipulate the event.
To add another insult to injury, one of the lovely ladies came out to scold me telling me, "She's going to give you your refund. You had people driving out of my line. There was no worm in your food." Girl bye with that nonsense!!!
