JEM is a fantastic spot on Madison! The bacon-wrapped chicken liver was rich, savory, and perfectly balanced which was an absolute standout starter. The burger was just as impressive: juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. With great service and a warm, inviting atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The experience was underwhelming. The gnocchi was overcooked and mushy, and the hamachi crudo was overwhelmed by raw onion, which made it taste more like tacos than a refined dish (though the fish itself was good). The burger was just average. Parking is limited, and there was a strong chemical smell inside the restaurant, which was unpleasant. I would not consider this “fine dining” as it’s presented. On the positive side, the service was attentive and good.

5 stars! I love a restaurant with a limited menu because the chef perfects the meal that are more like specialty dishes. This chef did not disappoint. Arancini, short rib, eggplant were delicious.

My boyfriend and I visited JEM for a date night, and it was truly one of the best meals of our lives. We had an early reservation and the service was impeccable. The food was remarkable, and we cannot recommend the matzoh ball stuffed chicken and the 24 hour short rib adobo enough. The kimchi arancini was also a delight! An unforgettable experience, and we truly cannot wait to go back.

I was excited to try this place but ultimately disappointed. I got the double cheeseburger to go. The bun was dry and dense. The fries tasted primarily of corn meal and were unappetizingly sweet. I hate to waste food but ending up throwing this away
An Unforgettable Dining Experience!
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at JEM Dining, and it was truly a night to remember. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for a beautiful evening.
The location is perfect—easily accessible with convenient parking, which made the entire experience smooth from the start. The interior was tastefully designed, creating a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that made us feel both relaxed and special.
Our dinner was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. You can taste the care and creativity in every bite. The wine pairing with dinner was exceptional—each glass complemented the meal perfectly and elevated the entire culinary journey.
We were joined by another couple, and all of us agreed: the service was outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had a wonderful time.
Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or simply a fantastic meal, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back soon!

I came here for happy hour and was seriously impressed! The atmosphere is cozy yet modern—perfect for a relaxing evening. I started with a couple of glasses of wine and sampled a variety of small plates, all of which were beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. The pate was rich and savory, balanced by grainy mustard and pickled vegetables, served with generous crostini. The crab dip was amazing and creamy.
But the true standout? The chocolate cake. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had—decadent, moist, with a perfect balance of texture and richness. It’s the kind of dessert you think about long after it’s gone.
Service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and well-paced. The staff made sure everything arrived fresh and hot. This place really nails the details, from plating to flavor to ambiance.
If you’re looking for a place with great bites, solid wine, and an unforgettable dessert to top it all off, this is it. I’ll definitely be back!

We have been traveling through the beautiful State of Tennessee for over 2-weeks. Started in Chattanooga and now in Memphis. I would rate JEM as one if not the best dining experiences we have had. Our Server was so sweet and wrote down some other great places to visit while we were in Memphis (4 days). The owner came by our table and we had a lovely chat - such a nice thing to do. The food was amazing and very creative - cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We highlight the Crab Dip and the Stuffed Chicken - wow, what a treat. Great drinks and we could tell the entire staff valued their work. The atmosphere was very chill and we could relax the minute we sat down. Please give them a try, especially if you are from out of town - we will come back on our next visit.

This is a beautiful space with beautiful food! I have been twice now and they don’t miss.
The wine list is fantastic and the servers are great at suggesting the perfect glass.
The chicken liver pate is DELICIOUS. It’s served with whole grain mustard and pickled veggies. It tastes like an elevated bologna sandwich?? Incredible.
We also loved both of our entrees. My husband got the pork coppa. It was perfectly balanced and the crispy leek greens were the perfect little herby crunch. I got the red fish and the harissa cream sauce was so, so good. Just spicy enough and paired so well with the fish and sweet potato.
We finished with the chocolate cake served with cold, boozy milk which immediately reminded me of the movie Matilda when Bruce Bogtrotter has to eat a whole chocolate cake as punishment. Except this wasn’t punishment. I would willingly eat a whole chocolate cake from JEM.
I can’t wait to see what else they cook up in the future. Worth the 30 min drive from Germantown.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars, this place was amazing. Not only the best food I've had in Memphis, but possibly the best overall. The atmosphere was unique and inviting, the service was fantastic, and the food was 10/10. We came on Valentine's Day and it was truly the perfect spot to spend the evening.
