Large portions of tasty meat!!
We had the sweetest waitress here. Our first time was awesome! I cant believe I've never heard of these cheddar biscuits before?! I would rather have these over TX RH any day! Carolina sauce was yummy. Great options for the whole family and can't beat the price.

When I went there it was the middle of the week after 5pm, I ordered the beef Sausage
My take is it was pre cooked and thrown in the microwave. other than that sitting in there I could see the photos of famous and regular people that visited the place when the business was good, there were photos of Obama and other folks.

Some of the best barbecue for years in Memphis. Always consistent and very fairly priced! Best beef ribs and rip tips in the city’

Not terrible but not good either. $27+ for a 2 meat combo price for the amount of food is fine. you get a lot but the bbq isn't what I would expect. they just hide poorly done bbq in a lot of sauce. I had beef ribs(very tough) , sliced brisket(over cooked then soaked in sauce), 2 slices of white bread, potato salad,& baked beans. The potato salad was the best part of the meal.

before I could even finish saying what I was saying the woman hung the phone up so she or whoever the hell she is doesn’t have to worry about me even coming or calling. But anyways the wait time is horrible. Feel how you wanna feel but I wouldn’t go there.
I order a large beef barbecue sandwich 🥪 it had no flavor at all . I basically had just some meat and bread..

Interstate bbq is horrible 😫 the French fries 🍟 was half raw the shoulder sandwich was dry with too many hard pieces that you couldn't eat and the crust on the Peach Cobbler was burned.
My sister and I ate lunch here Friday and again on Monday, the BBQ Pork sandwich was delicious as well as beans and slaw. Monday we ordered fries and onion rings as well. The fries were soggy and the onion rings had too much cornmeal in the batter and wasn't quite done. Atmosphere was awful, old and tattered. They could use an upgrade from the old Pizza Hut. SERVICE, ha ha what a joke. The cashier/waitress was rude and snubbed us two old white senior citizens and another SC man as we were setting there. Then two young black men came in and she was as friendly as could be, delivering the meal to them but my sister had to go to the counter to get our meal. When I asked for extra sauce she acted like it was a problem. She and the cashier on Monday were so prejudice that you could feel it. We'll eat there again because the BBQ is that good and I'm sure the Neelys haven't seen that side of their employees.

OMG the food was amazing! Husband had the large pork sandwich and couldn’t finish but man he tried lol I had the turkey and the flavor was amazing. Potato salad and onion rings were just as good as the BBQ.
But I have to say it’s a little run down, didn’t come for the atmosphere came for the food and absolutely not disappointed!

Absolutely the worst ribs i have ever attempted to eat in my entire life. They are not fit for human consumption, I would not feed them to a dog.

9/28/2024: Today’s purchase was a Pecan Pie, some BBQ Spaghetti, and a large order of Onion Rings, ordered via drive thru. As it stands, the best thing smoking is the Pecan Pie. The Onion Rings breading was very doughy, so much so that I believe it to be undercooked, raw even. The BBQ Spaghetti was surprisingly great. Yet, the more I ate, the more I disliked the sweetness of the dish, and a pound of spaghetti is a lot to go thru FYI. The prices are very much favorable throughout the menu.
My immediate thoughts though this will be revised: 09/13 & 09/14 ordered the same meal here for two days straight. On the first call/day, the receiver didn’t greet me, unless you call “Interstate” a greeting, hung up before I finished my order, and upon a callback, I did not receive an order verification, an order total, an estimated time for pickup, nor a thank you. I attempted to receive my order via drive thru, but was informed that call ins involve you receiving it in store. Okay, but that should be changed; it was raining. My pecan pie was forgotten, resulting in a turn around.
Day two, my pecan pie was forgotten, but I corrected them before leaving. As stated, I ordered the same meal both days: combo dinner consisting of pork and beef ribs, and two sides of baked beans. The ribs were too dry, but there were about 6-8 bones altogether. The VIP was the baked beans, then the pecan pies. The beans had minimum cartilage, maybe one or two pieces, and the pecan pies were delicious and not too sweet nor greasy.
I absolutely love the “Grandma’s House/ Big Mama house” feel of the place. The decor and little doodads really make it feel homey and comfy. I also love the old school menu board. I will be back for baked beans and pie, and remember to take photos/videos.
