I grew up on Brookins strMac an cheese has a weird taste like it’s the season or some or it’s spoiled and the chicken tasted like it was fried in the same oil as some fish 🤔🤔🤔🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ my kid said the cake is dry(strawberry) I got the caramel so 🤷🏾♀️
My husband and I came in on a Tuesday from Michigan. I stalked reviews menu items pictures for two days. I had the small ox talis and small chitterlings. My husband had the lasagna plate with dressing and green beans. Everything was the bomb 10/10. Everyone was nice and friendly. They pray 🙏 for us. I love these people we will always visit JJ'S when in Memphis!

Customer service was the best!! Well the food was average . I ordered the bbq turkey wings and they were way too salty and it wasn’t flavorful. The cream potatoes were bland and the cabbage was pretty good. I must say the caramel cake was the bomb!!

A few of my coworkers and I have visited this establishment on several occasions; we love to support black businesses. The food and customer service is good but we always have issues with our sides being too ( greens, potatoe casserole, cabbage, mac n cheese just to name a few) salty. Not every establishment cares if people may have health issues but we were hoping this one would; we actually love this place asides from that one issue.

For my first time there I was expecting for a soul food place but the food did not taste all that good for a $60 price cakes was dry not fresh dressing was like it was made by stove top stuffing the turkey gravy was very salty ask for cranberry sauce did not receive any also asked for yams & did not receive the corn bread was dark & crumbled the meatloaf had to much salt chitterlings was not all the way done it just didn't add up to being a down home soul food place of the south besides the people was nice just need to do better on the food

Went to JJ's based on reviews from tiktok & was not disappointed! We got the chitterlings, hog maws, bar-b-q turkey wings, mac-n-cheese, candied yam, & holy ghost kool-aid to drink. EVERYTHING was fresh & flavorful & the customer service was top tier!!!!!
