Absolutely fantastic cakes and cookies. I've never been disappointed with either whether I bought them or ate what a friend brought. NOMNOMNOM just doesn't say how good these are...the 5 pounds I gained does. š

Breaks my heart to write this, because my family has been going here for gingerbread men for over 25 years. When it went under new management a while back, we were so happy to hear that they had gotten the recipe from the previous owners and would continue making them, and they tasted exactly the same, flavorful and perfectly soft. My family even bought them throughout the year because they were so good, not just during wintertime. However, this year changed things. I bought a dozen about 3 months back and they were exactly as wonderful as theyāve always been. However, Iāve gone and gotten a dozen from them every 1-2 weeks since then (about 7 times over the last 2.5 months), and every single time theyāve just tastedā¦wrong. The texture has been very inconsistent, ranging from the normal perfect softness to being hard as rocks, and the taste was always off. They were very bland and hardly tasted like anything, to the point where the only thing we could really taste was the flour thatās always on the bottoms on the gingerbread men (bleh). And, now the reason for my writing this, the past two weeks have been very bad. I got into the habit of asking for just one to do a taste test before buying 1-2 dozen (something Iāve never felt the need to do before), and both times they were hard as rocks, were incredibly dry and almost powdery, and they tasted horrible. And the second time, which was today, the faces and buttons on the gingerbread men were pink instead of their usual red, and that pink stuff had like expanded and crystallized or something. The pink stuff covered almost half of the gingerbread men and tasted almost like Pop Rocks, on top of being so hard I couldnāt break off a piece with my hands and had to use my teeth Iām so very disappointed, but Iāve pointed out the issues with one of the workers there (clearly it didnāt help) and given them so many chances to win my family back over the last few months, but considering a dozen costs nearly $30, itās not at all worth the money anymore. Iām still feeling very burned by them after I spent $60 on 2 dozen without doing a taste test beforehand and brought them to a holiday party, just for everyone who had one to describe them as āmediocre, at best.ā Iām not kidding, these gingerbread men have NEVER failed to get rave reviews from people I buy them for, so this really stung a lot. I hope they can figure out what the problem is, but, until they do, go somewhere else, or, at the very least, donāt buy much without doing a taste test first.

For years we always got cakes from Kay bakery and the cakes and designs were perfect. Since they sold it to the people that own it now we thought we would try it for my momās 101 birthday.The cake was good but it was lopsided which was unacceptable. It was a round cake and the top cake did not fit directly on the bottom. The colors were not like the picture we showed them. It was very disappointing and sloppy. I need a cake for our one year-old grandsonās birthday and Iām skeptical to buy from them again.

These pastries are fantastic. I had one today that was delicious and huge for less than $2.
They have a cafe attached now, and the tacos are phenomenal. Drizzled a little salsa and salsa verde cremosa on the carne asada tacos, and they were delicious. Mounded with meat, onions, and cilantro. Perfect tacos.
It was quiet, no wait for a table, and my food came out quick. Quick and perfect.

I have purchased cakes from this bakery for many years but however tge last two times iāve been very disappointed. My first order in the beginning of June I order a cake for a friend 51st birthday they put glitter all over cake which I didnāt ask for. When complained the daughter looks at me an tell me they couldnāt fix it but still wanting me to pay full price. Looking at me like take it or leave it. I had no choice but to pay cuz i was in a bind and i love their cakes. Next time i just purchase not one but two cakes i go an pick up the cakes the first cake they brought out was fine the second one i looked at it they had sprinkles all over this cake what the hell. Thats not what i asked for nor was it like the picture i sent. . Again the same lady i believe tge daughter comes out an say to me i didnt say i wanted pecans on cake. Clearly the carrot cake had pecans on the picture. I didnt ask for sprinkles either but you put them on my cake. Im telling her thats not what order and how are yall going to fix it. She replied all the decorators gone for tge day it cant be fix an just look at me like are u gonna pay for it or not. I had to get her to call their dad to explain im not gonna pay this time for y'all screw up. Then when i looked at the cake itās smaller then the first cake but they supposed to be the same size now im really pissed. They wanted me to believe its the same size when it wasnāt but still wanting me to me to pay over$100 for a cake that wasnt right. She comes back and say we can fix it but its gonna take a minute. Ok but didnt she just say everbody gonna for the day smh. Also check your pricing and receipt cuz they over charging on taxes.
Iāve been a loyal customer of this bakery and have always had positive experiences in the past, which is why I didnāt think to double-check my daughterās birthday cake before leaving. Unfortunately, when I got home (30 minutes away), I saw that both ābirthdayā and my daughterās name were spelled incorrectly. I reached out and politely asked if they could offer a partial refund or some sort of resolution, but they refused. I paid $68 for this cake, and while mistakes happen, Iām disappointed in how the situation was handled. I expected better customer service from a place Iāve supported multiple times. Needless to say I wonāt be back.
