I haven't been to Kimbles in a few months, and when I shopped there on New Year's Eve. 2025 I was in a total state of shock. When I walked in, I got a whif of fish.as if the food preparedness section might not have been thoroughly cleaned. The floor was dirty and it seemed as though the store was under new management ir ownership. The prices were nearly doubled from my last visit in September 2025 and the fish case was nearly bare. Since I made the long trip to purchase fish and it was New Year's Eve, I stayed and made my order. The cat fish filet was over two inches thick in some parts, which made me know that the huge catfish were used to filet, instead of the small channel cat fish. I bought six pounds of that. I then asked for three punds of big bine Buffalo. The butcher and the cashier had to pick out the correct portions from the meager pile of Buffalo Fish. The fish was fresh, but all in all; I usually walk.out after paying just at near 50 dollars. On this trip, I paid nearly 90 dollars. I don't think I will return to Kimbles Fish Market.

Kimble was nice. Part of my family and I visited while we were in town for the Church of God in Christ 117th Holy Convocation in November 2025. The place has a very clean appearance and smells like fresh fish. When you walk in, the fresh seafood case is on the right and the cooking area is on the left. There is minimal seating, but no tables and chairs. The workers were very pleasant with us and kind in explaining their process. Ultimately, we ordered buffalo ribs, catfish filets, seasoned fries, and fried okra. It was nice! It was good that this was a place in Memphis that did not disappoint us. We will return again another time.

Avoid the spaghetti and whitening fish both taste terrible.. I can't even describe the spaghetti...but absolutely not!

Fish dont be seasoned at that little one scoop of sides they give out oh they warm sides up in the microwave

DONT come here and expect to get your fish cooked in a timely matter! They WILL PUSH YOUR ORDER to the back of the line and not pay attention to the order of which the customers arrived!!!! Good fish though if you're fine with waiting who knows how long!!!! EDIT: THE OWNER WILL COME TO THE FRONT MOUTH FULL OF FOOD AND LAUGH IN YOUR FACE

I spent $115 yesterday on catfish and red snapper fish. Let me tell you all. It was the worst tasting fish I've ever had!!! These new owners are not giving us quality fish. I will not be spending anymore money v with them. We had to throw all of it away.
