Had dinner at Kings Union and it hit the spot—a real Southern guilty pleasure that felt so wrong but so right! I had the pot roast with collard greens, black-eyed peas, and cornbread—absolutely delicious. My sister got the country fried steak with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, and she loved every single bite.
Our server, Lee, was outstanding! Super helpful, checked on us regularly, and was the one who recommended the pot roast as a best seller—it did not disappoint. He really made us feel taken care of.
The only con was the White Russian I ordered—not great. I wish the bartender had let me know it wasn’t their specialty and suggested something better.
The atmosphere was a little slow, but it was a Tuesday night, so I’m curious to come back on a weekend when it’s livelier. The menu is surprisingly diverse, even though we stuck to a Southern-style meal this time.
Overall: 9/10 for food and service. I’ll definitely be back!

Horrible service! The food was terrible and there was no customers. I was given hard pieces of pulled pork and bartender said other people eat their food hard, as if it was ok. I would not recommend eating here.
