Oh dear, where to start? We went in and the restaurant was literally empty, but we were told tgere was a 10 minute wait. We ordered the soup, which arrived cold, and the waitress just said she thought 1 minute in the microwave was enough to get it warmed up. I ordered the half rack of ribs with shrimp... but she forgot the shrimp as you can see from my plate. The coleslaw was literally full of sugar, I could not eat it. The french fries were soggy and my partner's baked potato was cold. 1) just fire that useless waitress. She did not even clear the soup plates before we got served the main. I only had the ribs and left the fries snd awful coleslaw.

The breakfast staff at Lynchburg Legends made the day & made our stay. The lady that was the breakfast host was the most helpful & friendly & observant host we have seen during this nasty corona business at just about any hotel, the server was nipping at her heels with great service & helpful answers, & hot coffee. The food was prepared deliciously, no matter what we threw at them during our stay. The ladies at Lynchburg Legends restaurant truly made the difference in our stay.

I requested a draft beer by the large name on the spigot. Apparently the bartender only knew it by the much smaller name on the top which I honestly could not read from my vantage point. I think she could’ve used a little imagination and shortened the time it took me to order. Food is OK. They have to go somewhere else to get change. The pecan pie was soggy. Unfortunately, during all of my visits I seem to be underwhelmed.

3 of us ate here for their Thanksgiving Buffet since it offered a wide range of items and was far cheaper than the spread put on by the Peabody. They are not set up very well to handle a huge number of people in regard to traffic flow. We were all crammed up at the hostess stand and the buffet area was on the other side of the restaurant where everyone had to walk through by the front door. I think they should have spaced out the reservation times so that there weren't as many guests arriving at the same time. They should have had more servers to man the buffet areas. We got there at 1:00 and it looked like a war zone and not very appealing even if the food was okay. By the time we went for dessert, there weren't a lot of choices and as I stated, the area was messy with crumbs and mostly empty pie tins scattered around. Some of the food was lukewarm since they didn't have warmers underneath the containers. The green bean casserole tasted old, like it was made the day before and left to sit out for hours. We managed to find some things we felt were decent since they had so much to choose from, but at least half of it was minimal at best.

Not liking scrabled eggs, I asked if I could get an omelette, even though I was having the buffet. No mention of an extra carge ad when the bill came, there was a substantial upcharge. The service was non-existent!

Everything was fresh, not over cooked, appetizing and plentiful. The coffee is especially good. Service great. Prices as expected for a hotel like DoubleTree

Hotel operators wonder why hotel guest don’t use their restaurants? It’s because of guest 1st impressions. Had to wait at least a good 10 min for the bartender to show up then the service was not conducive of the Hilton way. The next morning I went out to eat breakfast. The food was good but not the service. I tipped less than 10% if that says anything.

Curious why there were only 3 customers at 9:00 at a hotel restaurant. Found out, the service is incredibly slow and inept. Even with only 3...now 2 customers, I can’t get my food ordered. Can’t explain a reason. Bartender just vanishes at times!
