Leonard's Pit Barbecue

I had an amazing time. The food was absolutely amazing. I personally ordered a BBQ sandwich plate with Greens and Baked Beans. The wait for lunch was very short and the staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Will be coming back!

We did not realize the pictures we'd seen were from their previous location. We were disappointed in the atmosphere and very underwhelmed by the food. The staff were all delightful though!

Great food

I can't comment on this location cause I've not been there yet but can say as a child many moons ago, my dad would take us to the Bellevue & Elvis Presley Blvd locations remembering my 1st BBQ as oustanding, my mother loved them till the end. We'll visit soon I'm sure with fond memories of those yester years.

I will never order from Leonard’s ever again! I paid $30 from Door Dash for my food to arrive with a big burnt mark on my BBQ sandwich, 6 small wedges, a tiny side of spaghetti in a condiment size cup that they charge $1 extra for and a slice of pecan pie that only had 2 pecans on it! The food was cold! I wish I could post a picture here so everyone can see the type of crap you get for such an expensive tab! Leonard’s used to be good and I was excited that they returned to Memphis but as far as my money, they will never get another penny of it!!

I have been eating at Leonard's for years even before they went to the East Memphis. It was one of my late mothera favorite BBQ joints that carried over to me. It was my first job as well. I am glad it is still open, and has the best slaw and BBQ sauce (and I hate BBQ sauce). While the quality has dipped a lot since the older days, and the new owners have cut portions down and raised prices significantly , it is still one of my favorite BBQ joints for nostalgic reasons. Hope they will try to bring the buffet back one day.

Food wasn't as good. The ribs were not very meaty and were very dry. Took about 15 minutes to get replacement .

This is the way barbecue should be! It was a great experience.... The atmosphere is cozy and the staff go above and beyond to make you happy. The coleslaw is something special that you must try.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I believe you will too.

Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots are right up front. It's a pretty big parking lot, so no worries.

This evening, we all enjoyed the fried catfish dinners, served with your favorite sides. Soooo good! Be sure to ask for Robbie to wait on you! The nicest guy! He will make sure your experience is top-notch!!

Wet ribs really didn't have any flavor but were drowning in sauce. Spaghetti was mediocre. Yeast rolls was great
