Los Comales Mexican Bar & Grill

This place is hands down the BEST Mexican food you can get in the city of Memphis. The waitstaff is wonderful and kind, the kitchen is quick as a whip and your food is out before you can blink an eye. We always have such a gooood meal here and the margaritas are kick ass too! Elizabeth is the server we like to request- she is an angel! We were seated tonight at our usual corner table and the people next to us were extremely rude and using profanity (in front of their own child too) and Elizabeth still spoke to them with patience and grace. It blows my mind that people get so mad over not liking the way food tastes???? ANYWAYS all this to say we LOVE Los Comales and will be regulars forever. 🧡

Call around 4:40 to place a pick up order.lady was so rude on the phone as if I was a bother. She blew hard and continued to get the order wrong . I only ordered a Fajita Burrito and small queso.I then asked to speak with a manager, she responded saying the manager was busy.. If they don’t change staff or train them better Los Comales is going to start losing money due to the employees not wanting to take your order and being unnecessarily rude..

Same Mexican food, nothing special. Large space, felt too spacious If a hand was on stage and the place had been crowded it would have been a better feel. Nothing special about the service. Very mechanical, not personal.

I came from Denver, Colorado, for a visit and found this place. The Mexican food is the best, and the waiter was super friendly and quick to understand our needs. He explained everything on the menu very well. I highly recommend it. Alfredo is the best waiter here.

The food only got 4 stars because I can't eat Cilantro and everything was covered in it and when I asked if they had salsa without it they looked at me like I had something on my face :)

Lady taking my order over the phone is completely ignorant.Secondly went into the restaurant to place my order.And she still acted like she blatantly, could not understand me as well as the other lady.That was there.Also, she also could not understand me.But they both spoke english very well.I'm fluent in spanish.So I also tried speaking spanish to them, which they both still acted like they still couldn't understand.
They orderline acted like they've never worked in this food industry before or definitely have never worked here at this restaurant. I advise whoever manages this establishment to thoroughly train their individuals or thoroughly. Make sure that their employees are not rude disrespectful or ignorant to the fact that the customer has questions. There, to answer the questions and not be a complete
Jerk about it The staff here needs a real Eye-opening experience to let them know that they cannot treat people. This way, and they need to be trained correctly because evidently, their training is non-existent at this establishment.
If I could give this restaurant a negative review as far as negative stars, I would.I would give it a negative three or a negative four on the scale.Because of just on the facts of their attitude and just will being of the customer and asking and answering questions correctly

The food here is just SO yummy! The jalapeno sauce served with the regular salsa makes every dish special. The shrimp appetizer is simple and delicious, and the chicken fajita nachos are a great meal as well.
I only take back one star for the environment - it's just extraordinarily noisy all the time, even at off-hours.

Unfortunately I have to change my review, I ordered my food through a third party service and that alone isn't cheap and I spec asked for no guacamole on both my dishes and I still got the guacamole plus some of it got into my food. I love the restaurant, I just need simple instructions to be followed. This food cost too much for me to pick over everything. Please read notes and confirm the order is correct before sending out.
