Maciel's Tortas & tacos (Midtown)

I ordered delivery from Grubhub for my first try as saw had good ratings. Wasn't bad but not the best either. The beans were very watery. Had to toss all the different sauces they sent in cups as too hot, wished there was a way to avoid the waste! Appreciate that they followed instructions and left off jalapeños and cut hubby's burrito in half. Everything was good but spicy tho but not too bad. Was reasonably priced for delivery plates as well. Enjoyed the fried tacos as they didn't break up. They need to offer meat burritos tho and cheeseburgers, know they have fries as was in burrito.

I stopped by to pick up dinner for my family (take out) - I did regular quesadillas for me and my husband, and they were each literally a half order with about 3 spoonfuls of rice and beans. I ordered a kids quesadilla for my son, and instead they gave him this tiny street taco. When I called, she was quite rude and said, “well you got what you paid for.”

Then to add to the rudeness, she offered me a $3.50 voucher. Really??

I used to go here a lot but will never go again, other than to get our money back, which I will be doing. I do not recommend going here ever.

To top it off, The food did not taste good, but we could not get out anywhere else because it had already started snowing and icing.

Don’t go here. Go to one of the great food trucks on Summer or Macon.

We were on date night. He loves margaritas but they only had a few basic bottle beers. Maybe the other sites have a Rita machine?? My street taco order went like this... 1 fajita because I don't like raw onions (and said this at the counter) and a chicken taco. The chicken came out with raw onions on the top (I guess I did not notice that) and had to send it back to please cook the onions.
We had to remind them of the cheese dip appetizer which came along with the tacos.
The patio is awesome on a nice fall evening!

Parking: There are a few parking spots behind and many street spots that are free.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from the driveway to the door.

The horcata was great; the chips and salsa were also satisfactory, but the chicken tacos and rice were unimpressive. Probably won't return. Choose Taco N Ganas or Los Comales instead.

It’s was GREAT! My Daughter took me there Saturday. I’d never visited before. The Food tasted oh so good. Service, and Atmosphere were both adequate and well. Thanks Maciel’s. I’ll be back!

Parking: Parking is FREE located in rear of restaurant, but you can also park FREE on the street.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They sell NO ALCOHOL.

Everything I've gotten here has hit the spot, for years. Literally everything. You can't go wrong ordering from this place. Eat in, and get free chips and salsa. Great patio. I gravitate toward shrimp dishes, and their torta, salad, burrito, and tacos are spot on. I also love their fried avocado tacos and chicken chipotle soup (just tried that because I had a cold, and I'm pretty sure it healed me within hours). Don't walk, run.

I ordered some tacos , asada, birria and carnitas . The asada was basically boiled meat . Not even a mark of the grill . Birria was very disappointing flavorless. And the tortillas were as robbery and some of the worst tortillas I’ve ever in counter. However the service was awesome. Nice and friendly also very clean .
