I got the jerk chicken salmon pasta. It's a heavy plate. The food was well cooked. The flavors hit. The sauces were great. For the bevs, I got the hibiscus and the turmeric ginger juice...11/10. I need those by the gallon.

First time trying African food and I wasn't disappointed, the Egusi Soup had so much flavor and the Braised Lamb was wonderful. I also got the Potato Fufu it was okay just needed to be a little bit more mashed all the way I had a few lumps in mine. Overall it was good.

I ate from here twice, I didn't like it the first and definitely not the second. The meat pie and chicken were dry and no taste. Idk why African redturant tries to makes it American making unoriginal and it doesn't makes it authentic. They serve attieke as a side with no seasoning. Attieke is a unique street food from Ivory Coast and it's not poorly made like this place does. I see this place has 4.6 stars and it's mostly from foreigners. I wish they would show them the true taste of their side of Africa instead of mimicking other countries and making the food taste American.

O-M- GEE! I ordered the ox tails with jollof rice and when it was delivered, it was still hot like it had just been placed in the container! well seasoned, meat so tender it melts in your mouth, and the rice was delicious as well! I had to call a friend and send her a pic! LOL! 10/10

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while so we went on Juneteenth to support. I had the fufu which was ok. I’ve had it in the past but it’s been years. Again theirs was ok I just remember having better. The egusi soup was really good & flavorful! I would definitely get that again! My daughter had the okra soup & while it was really good the okra was a bit stalky! But honey the cabbage & collard greens were on point! Tender & seasoned to the Gods! I also had a chicken kabob & their red sauce which is really hot! So if you can’t take spice that red sauce may not be for you! All in all it was a great experience! I will definitely be back. I visited for lunch today and enjoyed the very peaceful atmosphere. The food was immaculate! I had the Vegan Plate, which included plant-based meatballs, curry, and collard greens, freshly prepared. The Lime Ginger slushy was absolutely refreshing—definitely a 20 out of 10! I usually visit Bala's on Elvis Presley Boulevard, but I wanted to try this location as well, and I was not disappointed at all. I'm adding this spot to my list of favorites!
