A true grab and go "meat and two" Southern joint.
You walk in, turn right and you had better be ready to answer what meat and sides you want. That is, if the line isn't around the inside of the store. The food is simple, hearty, and filling.
I had the ribs, macaroni and cheese, broccoli cheesy rice, cobbler, and a piece of cornbread. She had the meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cornbread. All hot, fresh, and wonderful.
Everything is take out. The people there fill the containers, wrap it in plastic, and then off you go!
This is a great representation of Southern comfort food. I definitely will be back in the future!
Parking: Parking lot can be tight when it's busy. But be patient and a spot will open up

A hidden gem of Lamar. They "Do too much" to make a homemade hot plate and have daily fresh fruit and handmade desserts. Complete drink coolers with everything from juice and chocolate milk to healthy energy drinks. ALL of this for less than a value meal at ANY fastfood establishment. God bless that man that runs it. I've never gotten bad food OR service there ....I have been a customer for years...for years...always great service and food💯 When is the last time you could say that about a restaurant? 🇺🇸 (The order showed below was just under 10 dollars, and includes a choice of 'bread' you want from a biscuit to a pancake) You can buy dinner items at 6 am ..pork chops ..fried chicken .. rottell mac N cheese ... chicken leg quarters ...... fried bologna,ham, and spam. .. cinnamon rolls ...fresh cake, brownies,and pies. Grocery/catering size items and in-store shopping. 🤷♂️ Go see the bossman💯

I may not ever cook again. They have all of the soulfood, 6 days a week. They are closed on Monday.
Stumbled upon this place today for lunch. I’m from out of town and this was hands down the best meal I’ve had since arriving. The food is fairly priced and the cat fish was perfect. Mac and cheese also. Highly recommend. I’ll be making another visit before having back home
