What a lovely place. The seafood paella is amazing, and the Oyster Rockefeller was *chef's kiss. A lovely establishment for a date night or dinner with friends. Would definitely recommend. I wouldn't go without a reservation though because the place is small, and it gets crowded quickly. The earlier (preferably 5-5:30p), the better. Enjoy!

Love this place. The Brussel sprouts and prosciutto panini are out of this world.

We shared 4 small plates that were all excellent. We especially loved the polenta crab cakes, so airy and yummy! The gin and elderflower cocktail was a great surprise, but the best of all was the chocolate creme brule!!

Service was terrific but food was somewhat disappointing. My husband and I love paella, but paella we received was very bland compared to others we have had. However, my son had blackened salmon special and loved it.

Maximo's recently started opening for lunch and the crowd hasn't expanded yet to crowed proportions. A good and calm atmosphere. Visited for lunch and had a BLT with fried egg and fries. The food was great and the service excellent and fast. Another evening at dinner, I had the seafood paella, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked.

Action packed tapas time ! I'll be back for the paella but what is definitely on the to-do list is the dark chocolate brulee with the Luxardo kicker. I'll be back soon!

Went on Valentines to try something different. Won’t go back! Do not recommend! We are Memphis foodies and we try to support local but it was bad and we don’t ever complain. Only thing good was they had Albariño wine!

Love this place! Amy and her team hosted our Non-profit for a wonderful holiday dinner! A curated menu, special for us! And her whole wait staff, dedicated to our group! Delicious food, great drinks, and I'm gonna say the following 3X fast - GET THE AVOCADO FRIES!! - GET THE AVOCADO FRIES!! - GET THE AVOCADO FRIES!!Vegetarian options: You see my note above? - GET THE AVOCADO FRIES!!

Went after a Christmas program with family. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was FanTastic! The nice lady that waited on us made sure that my 8 year old got something she would eat (filet, no sauce). We had several small plates, but had to order the brussell sprouts twice! Im not a fan of red peppers so the sauce they put on some things was not my favorite, but that just comes down to preference. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun but intimate dining experience.

I met 2 friends for dinner on Saturday. The restaurant is very small, but table as are well spaced. There were so many great options on the menu, as well as a daily special. We all got different meals and were pleased with all. The portions were perfect. We shared the Cream Brûlée and Bread Pudding. Our server,Lori, was great. So friendly. We will definitely return.

Really, really disappointed! I haven’t had paella in years. I figured if a nice restaurant served it three ways it must be good, right? Nope! It was bland and dry and the chorizo tasted like it was spoiled. My boyfriend got the fish special and it was also bland and the spinach was cold, the Brussels sprouts were raw, and they put some weird crunchy noodle garnish on top that was flavorless and lent nothing to the dish. The ravoiolo was one big ravioli with hardly any filling and the bread and butter had no flavor either. I can’t say anything nice about this place.

Let me preface this with I spent almost $200 to know if this place is good. t's borderline okay and gross for me. I'm not sure where I stand. You walk in, it's cute, tries to catch the Spanish vibes as if you are in a tapas joint in Spain. We ordered a bunch of tapas and dishes. The waitress was nice enough to space them out so we wouldn't get everything at once. We ordered drinks, ummm the bartender is definitely not consistent. First round came out, fried avocado, no flavor, just fried avocado. *rolls eyes* yup that's Memphis. Anchovy bruschetta, lol it was whole anchovy from can, not the Spanish kind and not chopped up. Ugh fine next? Risotto croquettes and red pepper ravioli. Croquettes tasted like mozzarella sticks. Red pepper sauce on ravioli was delicious and I swear I could just drink that stuff. Ravioli itself had stale pasta dough and was okay. Alright paella and bistro salad came out... that took us over the edge lol the paella tasted like that boxed season rice you get that's a fake jambalaya, zatarans?? Lol it was so bad. And the chorizo? Ugh it was dry and bland, tasted like dried season less pork. The bistro salad was the most comical of the bunch. I don't know where to start but the best way to describe it is it tasted like a Wendy's pre made salad but with warm goat cheese. Service is alright, definitely not a trendy joint if that's what you are looking for. Anyway for Memphis and that's all you are used to? This would be a good 3.5 for you. For cultured people that are not locals ummm 1 star.

Incredible dining experience at Maximos on Broad - I had the Artisan Salad with pine nut encrusted goat cheese (yum!) over greens with apple slices, mandarin oranges & sweet cherry tomatoes in a citrus vinaigrette and I added the most delicious salmon - what a treat! We also had the special a filet over greens with pomegranate, raspberries, green beans and spinach with a light vinaigrette. To wrap up dinner we had the rich chocolate crème brûlée (to die for!) with raspberries on top and home made ice cream (super delicious) and creamy. The staff were friendly and atmosphere was nice. I can highly recommend this fantastic restaurant.

My husband and I will never go back to Maximos. I ordered a well done filet, which is how I always eat my steaks. The filet was riddled with fat. In fact, I couldn't find one bite that didn't have large strands of fat in it. However, I wasn't going to send it back because I filled up on the side dishes. When the waitress asked why I didn't eat the steak, I told her that it was quite fatty, but not to worry about it. She took my plate back to the kitchen, and a few minutes later the owner/manager came out. She said that the steak wasn't edible because I ordered it well done. I explained to her that I eat my filets well done all the time, and that the problem was not the way it was cooked, but that it was a bad cut of meat that was full of fat. She was extremely rude and proceeded to argue with me!!! I've never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. I've told everyone I know not to go to Maximos. There's no excuse for that kind of rudeness. On another note, the waitress was delightful.
