LOVE this place. Great vibes, really cozy. Food is decent. I got a salad and the egg was slightly overcooked but it was still good. Overall I will be coming back for the aesthetic. Unfortunately I am rating it only 4 stars due to the lack of bike parking, yet if you drive and park at the garage then you get a discount, so the transportation incentives here are a bit regressive.
Edit: Bring your bike inside to the courtyard, or lock it to the street meters if available.

The atmosphere is so peaceful here. There's a plethora of games to play, food to eat, and furniture to relax. I've been here for date nights with my husband, and we brought our children here for a simple day out. Family friendly, student friendly, couple friendly, etc.

I just came down to find a quiet place to work and grab lunch. This place is amazing! My club sandwich was THE BEST I have ever had. They make the bread in house and the half sandwich was huge!! It was super quiet and chill inside. Very cool music and free WIFI. After checking out the extensive bar menu 👀👀 I will definitely be back with my girlfriends for Saturday or Sunday Brunch! The staff was super nice and helpful. They do actually have chess tournaments there too. Fun find in downtown Memphis — highly recommend you check it out.

Lovely coffee shop. The name dont lie! They have tables with chess board designed in them, a wide variety of chess books. Create your own drink kind of menu. An upstairs sitting area. Board games you can rent to play. They have a station to get your own utensils, napkins, extra condiments. The employees are patient and helpful. If I visit memphis again I would definitely go back!
The random cocktails for 10% off are fantastic too.

The coffee is a bit hit or miss - the chai is a little too sweet and the cold brew tastes a bit stale, but the iced lattes and hot coffee is great, and the food and smoothies are great! Plus it’s a fun little environment with tons of working space!

I waited 30 minutes for my coffee and every time I asked them if my name had been called they kept saying after a couple more orders. But I watched 20 people order after me and all get their orders. I went with a friend and we ordered together and she got hers 30 minutes before me. Coffee was extremely watered down and was the worst coffee I’ve ever had.
