We arrived about 7:15 on Thursday before Memorial Day. Things seemed a bit off. I am from outta town but visit often and Molly’s is a gotta go place!
Patrons were backing up at the door with no Greeter. The restaurant was basically empty. Finally the crowd was noticed and we were seated.
It took a minute but we were greeted by a wonderful server named Molly. She had been triple seated in the mayhem along with as 10 top she was servicing. She handled the challenge like a pro!
We decided to order drinks and food all together to the some stress away from her duties. She never missed a beat. The orders were perfect. She checked on us with. Smile.
Quesadillas were delicious and as always margaritas and beer hit the spot. The establishment does have a mandatory 20% gratuity added to the checks.
Thanks Molly for making our night! A job well done!

Our waitress Molly was one of the worst servers I’ve seen. Took forever to introduce herself and never brought our drinks of 2 waters and a soda. Had to go to the bar to get waters, and that staff had it ready in 1 minute. I normally don’t leave reviews, but the built in gratuity for the literal worst service I’ve had has compelled me to leave this review.
Chips and salsa: normal, nothing really stood out or was bad about them.
Chilies Rellenos: lunch portion, got the yellow cheese sauce and beef, would advise against ordering the yellow sauce as the cheese flavor drowned out the other flavors. Sautéed Vegetables on the side were also fine.

Love this place-we come here all the time. Just sharing my experience tonight. Internet posted hours are that the restaurant is open until 10pm. Walked in at 9:27. Was greeted with the words “just to let y’all know, the kitchen closes in 3 minutes”. If you close at 9:30, please change your posted hours. Now at another establishment down the street enjoying dinner and margaritas.

They auto charge 20% on every ticket no matter the size. Do not recommend, it's absolutely empty, was out of some ingredients that Mexican food Mexican food (at least tex mex).
Great place to eat. Friendly staff. Good service. Food was delicious. Vegetarian options.

Worst service of any place that I’ve been to in a long long time. Very disorganized. Dirty. There were at least two tables right next to us that were never cleaned off. Chips were all over the floor. Staff members kept walking by the mess and just ignored it. No one ever came to check on us to see if we needed anything or if our food came out right. At the front door 2 ppl asked how many were with our party and then walked away and never came back. The 3 looked lost and we finally said that we would take the table that was clean. With such bad service I wonder what is going on in the kitchen. Or maybe I don’t want to know. Will not return to this place that I have supported for decades. And they added a 20% tip onto my bill. Utter nonsense.

As a Memphis native, I was excited to eat here, as I’ve heard many great things about the food. Upon arrival, we waited around 15 minutes for our drink order. Once the food arrived, we waited for silverware and eventually had to go find a waiter to assist us. In the middle of the meal, a tray of drinks was spilled all over my pants. After splattering my pants with drinks, they charged me full price for my meal and had an automatic 20% gratuity. Given the circumstances of leaving with wet pants and sweet tea spilled all over my dress shoes, I would have expected a free lunch. Coupled with the terrible service, the automatic gratuity charge was salt in the wound. Needless to say, this will be my last visit.
