Solemn occasion ... that was made better by their hospitality.
Beautiful sanctuary, friendly and helpful members.
Staff made us feel at home this week while we covered the Tyre Nichols' family news conference at the church
Went for a Home going service Gertrude Bonds. The Church is wonderful.
Enjoyed myself, haven't been in a sanctuary for a service as a parishioner in over a year.
I have never been but every Sunday the congregation parks thier cars all in the bike lanes. Up and down MLK (a major cycling route). As people of God you would think they would do the right thing. As a cyclist we have very little protected space. I would have reached out personally via email to talk about this but they do not provide an email address on their website. I hope they see this review and do the right thing.
I was there for a funeral and found the church fully compliant with the COVID Rules.

Mount Olive Cathedral CME Church is a beautiful, historic edifice that sits in the heart of Downtown Memphis. It is a place where “God inhabits the praise of its people.” On my first visit to MOCCME, I was welcomed with warm embraces from many of its members and blessed by a relevant, Bible-based sermon by Pastor Lester. They have a very viable, effective youth ministry and Sunday School. The music team, choir blesses you with song. If you are ever in Bluff City, stop by “The Downtown Cathedral”. You won’t leave as you came.
