Everyone who knows me...knows I love a good coconut pie! I had never tasted a bad coconut pie until yesterday; when I received a muddy's coconut pie at my graduation dinner. The pie was extremely dry and overcooked. Absolutely, the worst coconut pie I have ever eaten. I gave it two stars merely out of kindness.

You can't go wrong at Muddys! They do have restricted hours so last minute treats aren't really an option. You can go to their web site and order things ahead or shop in their store during those limited hours. You can also give them a call to see if they have things in stock as well.

Cool little quaint bakery in a cool part of the city. The inside bakery area is very small with pretty few selections but what they do have is very good. A lot of outdoor seating is available with old ironing boards used for tables. My daughter particularly liked the Oreo pudding and chocolate chip cookie. My favorite was the chocolate cupcake with peanut butter icing. Great spot to stop in after lunch or to gift someone with some goodies.

Y'ALL. I live in Texas and today is my best friends (who lives in Memphis) birthday and after googling the best cupcakes in Memphis, Muddy's was the clear favorite! I went on their website and ordered the prozac cupcakes to have them ready on her birthday and left a little note explaining that I couldn't be in town to celebrate with her but wondered if they could add a candle or something for me. They not only added 2 candles, but a HANDWRITTEN BIRTHDAY NOTE saying "sending you love and sprinkles all the way from Texas". I have never seen something so cute, and my friend just about died when she saw this! 1000000/10 recommend Muddy's for their incredible kindness, customer service, and flawless website/pickup setup.

Wow. Too bad on the following. The sign on their door says that they won't be re-opening the Mid-town (on S. Cooper) Memphis vacant store. It lists in handwriting sadly the many reasons why. Presumably by the owner. I also wondered that should the pandemic continue long haul, what of their Broad St. existence? This has affected so many smaller Mom & Pop businesses like these which end up just shutting their doors. Especially in a community that's re-vitalizing and the older character being brought back by its proud residents. I guess times do change and perhaps another similar owner will take their place? Or, maybe they can strike an agreement with whom wants to own such a place with the Muddy's Bakeshop recipes. It is such a prime location, too. I don't think that there's anything else really like it in Mid-Town. Stay tuned!

Go just go!!!!!!! The Bake sale is amazing they have tons of choices and the team at Muddy's is simply the best. Again just go!!!! My favorite is the Banana Pudding it simply is delicious.

Got baked goods from muddys food truck Saturday. Spent $29 and everything was terrible. Cupcakes were very dry, chocolate chip cookie had 1 chocolate chip in the whole cookie, sugar cookies were so hard you couldn’t eat them. Had to be day old products - several days old, even.

I have been a big fan of Muddy's for years. I was a frequent patron of their East Memphis location, however, that location has been closed during the pandemic. This was my first time in the Broad St bakery and I'm so happy they are open!! The bakery is open for walk ins Thursday - Saturday from noon until 5. For walk ins, they have pre packaged items (cupcakes, cookies, pies, other delicious treats as well as clothing and bakeware). You can't pick single cupcakes out of a display case here - they have two or four of the same type pre packaged together. If you do want to pick, you can call in your order in advance and pick it up from a separate window off to the side. I LOVE all of their food. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of their cupcakes! They are always so moist and the perfect cupcake to icing ratio. But prozac, grasshopper, and cookies and cream are probably my favorites. Their key lime pie is also so so tasty!! And they serve mini pies in case you are just wanting a little dessert for one! Love how they decorated the shop as well. So cute and homey! There are a few tables outside as well to sit and enjoy your treats. And the tables are made from ironing boards! This place is a Memphis staple, so no matter where they are located, you need to make a stop here and try some treats!

I'm not a big sweets fan but I am a huge hot tea fan.. this spot has the best London Fog I have ever put in my mouth. Their customer service is out of this world and they go above and beyond to help if they can! Love this place!

My wife and I were in town for her Business. Stayed at the hotel across the street. I left with 5 cupcakes, 1 whoopie pie, and an entire coconut pie ( not allowed to shop alone anymore) The whoopie pie was gone by the time I left the parking lot. the cucpcakes made it till the next morning. the pie is almost gone. This place was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to go back and buy more, but was not allowed.
