I have always loved Venice Kitchen since my very first experience a couple of years ago. It was a very well kept tucked away secret from the delicious food to the phenomenal drinks to the simple ambiance of the restaurant itself. Last night’s experience completely missed the mark, and to say that I was disappointed is an understatement! First, while understanding that it’s summertime and very hot outside; the air conditioning was was blowing so relentlessly that I was freezing. I had to bring a jacket as well as a blanket and I was still dysfunctionally cold. We were sat at our table and were not acknowledged by our server for nearly 15 minutes. The restaurant was horribly loud due to one table of guests, who in my opinion tried to make Venice Kitchen since be the next restaurant ruined by let’s just say MY Skin Folks. (Yes, I am African American). They were so loud, obnoxious, and there were so many of them screaming at each other like they weren’t sitting literally sitting just barely 2 inches apart. I could barely hear myself think because they were so loud. I don’t think it would have been too much for the sake of the other patrons inside the restaurant for management to ask to quiet down and not be so rowdy. They were so loud that I couldn’t hear my boyfriend when he was trying to talk to me and vice versa. I also struggled to be able to hear our server when she finally showed up. The drinks were nasty! I ordered a Lemon Drop, one of my favs as well as my regular go-to drink at Venice that I have always loved and enjoyed! My boyfriend ordered a strawberry mojito. Both drinks were absolutely disgusting! I don’t know who was bartending last night, but they did not know what they were doing! They even supposedly “fixed” or “doctored” up our drinks upon our first complaint to no avail. My food order was lukewarm at best upon arriving at our table and also wrong. This made the experience even worse. A manager never came to the table to help possibly alleviate our concerns. The only solution was that we weren’t charged for those awful drinks. Needless to say, Venice Kitchen has fallen from grace like majority of Memphis restaurants and we won’t be back anytime soon, if ever again!

Waste of money. ImThis restaurant has gone down to the pits. The food is subpar. My daughter ores a pizza, and it was something you could’ve gotten out of a box from the grocery store. The Cajun pasta used to be good, but it’s not now. When I barely touched it, the manger told me that I could not return it. She did not offer any alternatives either. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. However, since it has changed from being Old Venice, the food is horrible!!

The food was great! Server was on point. The restaurant was so very loud. Open ceiling restaurants often are, maybe some noise dampening would be helpful. Noticed a lot of dust on the walls and fixtures near A/C vents. Only allow parties up to 8.

From the moment we walked in, Venice Kitchen felt warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — but what truly set this place apart was the outstanding service, especially from the manager.
Not only was he present and attentive throughout the evening, but he also took the time to personally check on tables, greet guests with genuine kindness, and even helped his staff during the busiest moments. It’s rare to see a manager so hands-on and supportive, and it really created a positive energy that you could feel throughout the restaurant.
You can tell the employees respect him, and it reflects in the way they treat customers — with care, respect, and a smile. Dining here was more than just a meal, it was a memorable experience. Highly recommend Venice Kitchen to anyone looking for great food and exceptional hospitality!

We had brunch with Travis as our server! He was on point! Our food came out in a timely matter. Took into consideration the order the food came out keeping in mind my cranky two year old! The food was good as always! The waffles were melt in your mouth perfect! French toast looked great! We had plenty of left overs and we were so full! My espresso martini was just the kicker I needed our plates were bussed at the perfect time and our check and to go boxes came out right on time! This is our fourth Mother’s Day at Venice kitchen and we will def be back next year 10/10 recommend and ask for Travis he’s the best!

Reverse Discrimination at its finest. We got seated on the patio and the other race waiter walks out 3 times and says Nothing!! Twenty minutes later, not a word!! We will never again darken the door of Venice! We spent out $80 down the street at another restaurant and left our $20 tip to that waiter instead. Utter disappointment!!
