Worse dining experience ever. Went there for brunch. Service was fine. The food was cold. Ordered shrimp and grits. They ran out of shrimp. Order steak and eggs, and the classic. Which includes eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes. The eggs had shells in it, on both plates. The breakfast potatoes are cold French fries. The bacon was fine, just cold. The steak was ordered well done, surprisingly it was prepared properly. Except no seasoning at all. The eggs on the other plate had shells in it also. They never gave us a check before payment, we didn't know it was 20% gratuity add. We have 8% more. They gave us 10% off of the check. We really try to support black businesses, but this is not acceptable.
I did read the owners response. I never leave bad reviews, unless it is warranted. I did talk to the manager. She said, she was going to give us a discount. 10% discount for shells in both of our eggs order? This is what you consider good customer service. We never received a copy of our bill, before we paid. If I did, I would of said something, to the manager again. I'm not trying to trash your restaurant. Eggs shells in the eggs has to be the most disgusting thing ever. You seem to be ok defending our bad experience. We won't be back.

The happy hour food was very disappointing. I will not be back. The wings were extremely large and unappetizing, and the yams were watery and lacked flavor. The greens were okay, and the drinks were great, but overall, I was highly dissatisfied with the food today. The highlight of our visit was our server, Octavia — she was amazing and made sure we were taken care of. Her service was excellent despite the food not meeting expectations.

Me and a plus 1 came in this afternoon for a quick birthday meal and drink. It was just that..quick. I'm not sure if it was because they were closing in an hour but the waitress was rude and stand offish. Im assuming the attitude was stemming from the 2pm reservation, there was only 1 other person in the restaurant so it wasn't busy at all. We were served in Togo containers with plastic silverware, the whole experience felt rushed and unwanted. The food & drink was very good and the restaurant was clean and beautiful. I will give it 1 more try, maybe on a more popular day and time.

I stopped by, visiting from out of town for a solo celebratory date. I was very excited to visit- but unfortunately, was disappointed in the service this go round. A 20% gratuity is added to dine in orders but I was served my dine in meal in black, to- go containers. I understand newer establishments use plastic cutlery- but if you advertise an elevated space, I do expect my meal to be served on a real plate. The server did not attempt to correct this, and just apologized saying she should have asked? I sat down, I ordered a cocktail etc. and nothing indicated a “ to go” experience. That was enough for me to actually take my meal to go. For no one to be in the restaurant it was not welcoming nor was it comfortable to set in. I had many different options to try, and my $50 could have spent elsewhere. Maybe service is better for dinner.

I had an amazing experience thanks to the bartender, Chris — not only were the drinks absolutely top-notch, but the service was even better. Super friendly, personable, and made everyone at the bar feel welcome. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it shows in the quality of the cocktails and the great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're looking for both great drinks and even better company behind the bar!
