I went to order a burger and fries to go and they tried to charge me $29 and some change i included a $4.50 service fee on a to go order never will i go back

I enjoyed my meal at the restaurant. It was my first time. I had the Southern sample plate. The chicken wings and candied yams were the best parts. I’m not a collard green kinda gal but I will eat them. The chunks of smoked turkey were tender and deelish. The smoked Gouda Mac n cheese was good but I would Have loved some black pepper with mine. He had the chicken and biscuit. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Multiple people checked on us with sincerity. Will definitely come back. Nice cocktail menu but I was not in a mood for alcohol. My friend had a Bloody Mary which he liked.

Eggs was carton eggs. Chicken tacos a 4/10 because once again it was boxed eggs. The eggs are $6 so that really caught me by surprise. I went with a friend and we spent $100 on the 2 shrimp catfish crouton , the tacos chicken kind. 2 seasoned potatoes, and it’s automatically 20% gratuity. Food is not seasoned at all, the most season I got was the one little piece of catfish that’s considered croutons in the grits. Too expensive for heavy whipping cream tasting grits literally no other flavor. Waiter was not hitting either. We had kiyah. I tried to explain that I wanted to switch the egg omelette for the tacos because I saw them bring tacos out to another table and she was like better hope they ain’t started. In my mind I’m like it doesn’t matter because if I no longer want it I’m not buying it anyways. It was only 2 mins since she left table so not sure why that was even said. that lowered her customer service rank for me. Owner was like come back and see us when we were done. Probably the best part overall. I didn’t even get the energy that we was welcome after telling her thank you multiple times and she walk off w/o acknowledging. Experience was not good. Food was even warm not hot at all. I recommend this place if you just want to play around w money. I ate the food because I didn’t want to waste it but it’s a no for me. And I was open to spending the money honestly but it’s not worth the price at all .

I had to get a raincheck on tickets that were purchased and the manager was very accommodating. Now for the food, how do you mess up spinach dip. By cutting cost which in turn cuts the quality. In spite of this I will continue to patronize one of the few places where you can see live jazz. Do better One11
