In the past this was the best breakfast in town. But lately if you like thinly sliced sausage patties that have been precooked and microwaved when they serve them yum yum. For sausage that crunches when you bite into it. They do the bacon the same way. The only thing decent are the eggs and the pancakes. We have been eating there once or twice a month on Saturday mornings for a couple of years. Only because it's the only place we can find where my friend can get tomato juice. Finally he has had enough also. He ordered eggs, grits, hash browns and sausage patties. The only thing he ate was the eggs. He said everything else was terrible. I ordered a sausage and cheese omelet the sausage chunks in the omelet were almost like eating rocks. I am certain the sausage was pre cooked then micro waved and then cooked once more in the so called 3 egg omelet. By the way my friend has terminal cancer and likes his tomato juice. I think he deserves better food than what we were served. All I can say is The Pancake Shop used to be the best but now it is the worst by far!!!!!

Jeez, this place has changed. My wife and I both had hash browns with our breakfast. I told my wife they tasted "funny" and she said hers did too. My omelet was runny, no wonder the food was served so quickly. I didn't eat my meal and I didn't complain. I was surprised by how much higher the prices were. That's everywhere though, sorry to see this. It's been 3 yrs, since we've been here. New owners, just not the same.

Stopped in while we were in town for the weekend. Great food at a great price and the service was outstanding. Ms Jackie and Billie were very sweet and helpful. Love that while we were waiting to be seated, we got to talk to many of the regulars and they all had nothing but great things to say about the food. Since we were in town for the weekend, I’ve heard great things about this restaurant. We live about an hour and 38 minutes from Memphis and wanted to try some great breakfast in this place was awesome. It was everything expected after looking at the reviews. I see why this place Has a great rating that it does the service in atmosphere and the food was top-notch. I really did enjoy the pancakes, the eggs, grits, and the Sasha. Our server name was Billie. Good atmosphere, friendly servers and staff. Good food. The owner and his son are very friendly and they care that you get good service and good food. The green are good. I prefer over medium eggs, but sometimes the egg whites are a little too soft, so I order eggs over medium well or scrambled or send my eggs back to the kitchen to get my eggs cooked more. I don't let having to order my eggs over medium well stop me from eating eggs or breakfast. I eat at The Pancake Shop several times a week and have been eating there several years. I'm going to keep eating at The Pancake Shop hopefully for many years.Good breakfast, good sandwiches, good pancakes, good salads, good bacon.Good parking, plenty of free parking. Good plate lunch Monday thru Friday. I would like to see plate lunches on the weekends.
