Reflecting on the time that I almost died from food poisoning working an event that Paradox catered and realized, perhaps 1 star is too harsh. For you see I gained an experience I, and nobody on that site, will ever forget. I reference how bad that catering was at least once every two months and this was years ago. I still have vitriol and a general feeling of "These people should never be let near food or the public again" but honestly I feel that maybe they just haven't found their niche. For instance perhaps they would function better using their cooking skills as a government contractor, the government could feed their food to terrorists as a form of torture. Of course thats if it doesn't kill them first. Paradox catering truly lives up to their name, as I cannot figure out how these people cook food with the quality of mexican water and still be in business.

Having such a great time preparing for an engagement party in May. Menu choices are different than an ordinary catering service and response time is very quick.

We used Paradox for our wedding reception bar at the Shelby Farm’s FedEx Event Center in July 2023. Paradox was able to recommend a great selection of local beers, wines and spirits and for a very reasonable price. Good experience overall!

Mary did a great job communicating with us and went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly. Everyone from the company was so kind and the guests were raving about how much they loved the service and the food. Great people who care about what they do and do it well!

Paradox Catering did a wonderful job for our daughter's celebration. They were easy to work with and helped us come up with the perfect menu that fit our budget. The food display was gorgeous, the wait-staff excellent, and the food delicious! A number of people asked who the catering company was because the food was so good! We highly recommend Paradox Catering for your next event!

Paradox catered the Roses and Croquet event at the Botanic Garden. The food was amazing. All of the dips were delicious with his homemade chips and delicious veggies, especially the roasted carrots. His signature dip was a huge hit. Great presentation also.

Had them for my mother in law's birthday dinner and it was a great experience all around. Even took the time to explain to me every single option of food that they offered for the dinner (took a while I am not a food expert). Showed up early made great food and were so nice to talk to and deal with for the entire dinner. I have them booked again to do a dinner at my brewery. Great all around!

I really wanted to give Paradox Catering & Consulting 5 starts but unfortunately there was an issue between the written contract and the services rendered.
I pre-paid for all NON-alcoholic drinks to be provided to my guests at my wedding. It was brought to my attention by several guests that they were being charged for NON-alcoholic drinks.
My mother brought it to my attention that several guests including some children did not have a drink with dinner and that when she sent my niece to get a bottled water she was asked for $1.
I did not contract with another beverage vendor for my wedding, due to I wanted both alcohol and non-alcoholic selections available.
I approached the bar tenders on 2 separate occasions inquiring about the matter and it was stated to me they were following the instructions given to them.
I did not have my cell phone available to me so therefore I was unable to reach out to my contact person at Paradox.
Approximately 45 minutes to the wedding ending I was informed that individuals who paid for NON-alcoholic beverages were refunded. I am not certain how they kept an accounting of the transactions, but later screenshots were sent to me that approximately 16 guests received a refund out of 68 in attendance.
The day after the wedding I reached out by text message to my contact person informing her of the situation.
A meeting was scheduled post-honeymoon by telephone. I explained in details the situation to the upper management number provided. I was offered $150 refund (which I clearly declined). I felt it was only right the manager refund the $6 / per person x 42 that obviously did not get a beverage since only 16 people (which no one at my wedding has verified a receipt of refund) were served. I do not think that $252 is unreasonable amount to request from a service that was given $1267 for a service not provided.
I understand that small business are difficult and I am very fair, and it is the business responsibility to communicate the contract to their employees not a bride or groom. 3 STARS for Poor customer service and failure to complete contracted services.

Paradox, Jimmy, Jessica and team are the ABSOLUTE best. We wanted an intimated multi-course dinner for 200 guests in a garden. THEY nailed it. The hot food was HOT and cold food was COLD. Tables were set beautifully and the waitstaff was AMAZING! If you want amazing, one of kind food that will wow your guests- this is your team!

I cannot speak highly enough of the efforts that Chef Jimmy is making both to keep his employees working, and to assist the community to keep the”front lines” fed. It certainly helps that the quality of the food at Paradox is top-notch! You can’t go wrong!
