This place is not worth the money. My partner and I went here with a reservation but were treated like nuisances from the moment we walked in. Hostess ignored us for about 15 minutes before walking back, not even looking at us, and asked what time our reservation was (no greeting or even asking if we had one). We had a reservation at 1:30 and didn’t have anyone even get us water until after 2pm. Keep in mind, they were not busy— plenty of empty tables.
Our food took about 45 minutes to come out, which isn’t too long, but it was a disaster. I got the crawfish hash & my partner got the filet & shrimp. My dish came out lukewarm at best, and the “poached” eggs on top had a completely hard boiled yolk. My partner’s filet was burnt on the outside & the shrimp was tough & overcooked. When we told the waitress, she just offered to take it back to remake, but it was already close to 3 at that point and we had other plans. She didn’t offer to comp anything, not even a couple dollars off.
The waitress checked on us maybe 2 times throughout our whole meal, and we overall felt more like a burden than people spending an absurd amount of money for food that you could get made twice as good at a chain restaurant. Even Perkins knows what a poached egg is.

Another Valentine’s Day dining story. Think of everything that makes a restaurant good. Excellent service, including being seated at the time of your reservation, good food, good atmosphere. Now think of the opposite of all those things and you’ll know what it was like to eat here for Valentine’s Day. Overwhelmed staff, food runners who didn’t know what table to take food to, pretty bland food, etc. I saw at least three tables get up and leave and demand refunds. And I fully expect relatively slow service on a holiday like Valentine’s Day, when the whole world goes out to eat. But the below average food and just the lack of the staff’s seeming to know what they’re doing and also not seeming to care that it was a terrible experience for everyone concerned seems to point to more systemic problems

My husband took me to Paulette's for a special Valentine's dinner! We got our table and a lady asked us what we wanted to drink...a man brought me a rose, that was so sweet! We waited 25 minutes for a waitress to notice us. She asked us what we wanted to eat, then another long wait. The man that brought me the rose filled our water glasses... We finally received our first course of food...my husband asked the waitress why we never received our drinks? He wanted to sip on his bourbon before we ate, not during our meal, too late for that. We received our drinks and our first course of jumbo lump crab augratin was delicious. Halfway through our first course she asked us if we wanted bread rolls with a great butter. We waited another 30 something minutes for the main course. I love fish, and I told the waitress I need my fish cooked thoroughly, I can't eat raw fish. Well two bites in I could not cut my fish at all and looked...not cooked in middle. The waitress took it back. My husband was waiting on my food to come back. I finally said, you need to eat... he said, he would have liked his much better without the thick sauce and salad on top of his steak. He finally ate it all...the waitress came back and asked if everything was OK? My husband said, it probably would be if my wife had her meal. She went back to get it and I ate it. It had been microwaved, I believe... because even the raspberries were mushy now. We waited another extremely long time for our dessert. I ate the strawberries off the top of my dessert. My husband had the flourless chocolate cake, he ate half of his. A couple left after their long meal and a man and lady came to clean off their table...she laid clean silverware on the seat that a lady had been sitting on. We were appalled! I had to leave and go to our room, I did not feel well... my husband waited for our waitress so he could pay for our drinks. He had paid for our food, when he paid for our room, a few weeks ago. As I went to our room there was a huge line of people waiting to be seated. 2 hours for a 3 course meal is ridiculous and very exhausting! Not a very good Valentine's Day Celebration!
This is a suggestion... maybe have less customers, so you can treat your customers with a great experience, instead of them not wanting to ever return.

Went to Paulette's for their Valentine's Day Prix Fix February 14, 2026. Paulette's management, don't ever do this again. Why would I pay UP FRONT for an 8:30 reservation, just to arrive and have to stand in LINE for an hour. How would they know if those in line even paid without a guest list? What makes it worse, after that hour wait they started to run out of food and become irritable with the guests. My lovely wife ordered the filet, and they ran out of filet and the waitress who's been at work since 8am and was at the time 9:30PM offered a ribeye instead. I know for a fact the Ribeye is lesser in price than the filet. The menu also advertised that her meal was to come with a crab infused smashed potatoes. They didn't mention to tell us they also ran out of that item because we both received diced breakfast potatoes underneath our undercooked meats. I ordered the lamb medium well. I received soggy, fatty lamb that I know this establishment doesn't have the reputation for. The broccolini on my plate wasn't even cooked, no butter, seasoning, nothing. Just raw broccolini. Honestly, the only reason we stayed was because we had to wait in line and had nowhere else to go. The staff members were nice, despite the fact that they had been at work since as early as 8am to 10pm. Paulette's, don't ever waste innocent people's time and money like that again. That performance don't even deserve 1 star for $240 with gratuities included.

A friend and I travel three hours from opposite directions to visit Memphis several times a year. We appreciate walks along the river and notice all the work that has been done in the downtown area. We have dinner at three “nice” restaurants each time we come. Coastal Fish Company has never let us down. Erling Jensen is a phenomenally excellent dining experience. Flight let us down, so we looked for a replacement and came up with Paulette’s. Since we were going to be there on Valentine’s Day, I called way ahead and made reservations. They were promoting a deal - dinner for $99 a person with a limited menu. I made reservations for 6:15.
They also required prepayment, which I felt was odd, but I assumed they must’ve been stood up in the past. We were completely unprepared for the experience that awaited us, though. We arrived at 6:10 and it seemed as if the host were startled to see us. Nevertheless, we were seated within five minutes. Luckily, we ordered a bottle of wine upon being seated. Being a bit tipsy helped us to not completely lose our marbles. It was almost a half hour before we were asked for our order. When bread was brought to the table, the popovers were raw inside - wet dough. We did get our appetizers fairly soon, and they were delicious, but then we waited forty-five minutes for our entrees, which were also delicious. I finally asked our server what was going on, and she explained that the whole place was completely overwhelmed. We didn’t understand this, because Paulette’s is not a new restaurant, and surely they had experience with being busy??? We made reservations. We paid ahead. The menu was limited.
Finally we got dessert and asked for the check. Even that took a long time. Angry patrons were abundant, and we overheard other tables talking about what a mess it was. We decided that the restaurant saw a way to shaft all its customers on a holiday evening and make a little money. There were lots of people there at $99 a pop. They did well on liquor, because every table was drinking. I just think they didn’t care, because it was all prepaid. The food was good, but service was nonexistent. I can’t imagine very many people coming back, though. I do sympathize with the servers, because it was obvious they were completely out of their league.

We had made our Valentine’s Day dinner at 6:45 a month in advance. We had to pay $200 to even get reservations here. We arrived at 6:30 they offered us a seat right in the middle of the walkway. No joke if someone waked by you were touched. I simply asked for a new table and the host said “we will work on that have a seat at the bar.” We didn’t want a drink so we just stood up by the host stand. 7:00 reservations began arriving and she stated “they are cleaning tables off and you’ll be sat soon”. To everyone but us… I reminded her “hey we’re for 6:45.” She stated “you were offered two places to sit and declined them both.”. I said “excuse, me, we were offered one place to sit.” She began soaking with an attitude saying “you said you didn’t want to sit by anyone who could see you and you were offered the bar as well”. I never stated I “didn’t want to be seen” all I wanted was to not be touched every time someone walked by at a table that obviously didn’t belong there. We never ended up getting a table or eating here and we have yet to get our refund of the $200. There were other tables available for the 6:45 reservations however, this hostess was just being spiteful. They don’t deserve all these high stars for how they treat people here. The hostess was incredibly rude when speaking to guests. Unacceptable to have a person like that be your first experience at a restaurant. This place is truly lacking customer service.

We went there for dinner on Valentine’s Day. Our reservations were at 7:30. We waited in line to get in for 35-40 minutes. Once we were seated, we didn’t get our drinks until another 30 minutes. The staff gave our main courses to another table. We didn’t eat until about 9:15. The food was great but the service was horrible.

Brianna B. Needs to be fired.. just because we were 20 year old’s who were on a date doesn’t mean that we don’t deserve a good experience or good service. She came to us twice during the entire dinner service (we were there for an hour and a half) and the first time was right after we sat down she immediately came up to us and said “what would you like to eat?” We hadn’t even looked at the menu yet she didn’t even ask for our drink order she just seemed to want to get us out of the way. She came up 10 minutes after she repeatedly asked for our order in the same minute and then said “oh y'all I'm sorry i never even asked what you wanted to drink” then our food came out everything was great. She didn’t come over to check on us the rest of the night we had to get a Server Assistant to hand us a dessert menu and when she came over to get our dessert order she took all of dirty plates and stood there for 2 minutes huffing until we gave her the dessert order. As someone who works in a fine dining restaurant during the rest of the week I thought this would be a great place to go for a Valentines date with my girlfriend . This was an obvious mistake I confine gotten better service at a Waffle House for 150 dollars cheaper.

We dined here for our first time yesterday evening. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes & shrimp appetizer. Deviled eggs were yummy. Popovers were tasty, too. My husband’s ribeye was velvety, with crisp sear and delicious. It comes with a whole tomato, sliced with no seasonings or anything… You can add mashed potatoes for $6 and they were tasty, though slightly sweet. I enjoyed the redfish plate, though the fish itself needed more salt. The fish and crab were fresh and a great portion, and the sauce was perfect. For dessert- their K pie is delicious and huge! We also tried the key lime pie and it was so good- rich and creamy, not super tart. As for service, our server was nice and did the basics. However, it did not feel like a fine dining experience. Hopefully next time, we will have a more knowledgeable server regarding their menu All in all, will eat here again!

If you are ever in Memphis, take a worthwhile jaunt out to Mud Island for this off-the-path gem. Overlooking the Mississippi River, this delightful restaurant is classy with elegant decor. Lovely jazz music at just the right volume. Manager Mika and server Brianna provided wonderful service. The rolls had a fluffly French toast flavor and were sprinkled with just the right amount of powdered sugar. For the brunch main course, the strawberry and cucumber salad was crisp, sweet, amd fresh, while the crawfish hash was lightly seasoned to delicious perfection.

I had none been to Paulette' in many years and it was a very beautiful experience. The food was amazing and all the other parts was wonderful. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any crepes listed on the menu other than 2 appetizers. I do plan to go back on a Saturday for brunch.. They were beautiful to help celebrate a birthday for my friend
