Soup was excellent, entree less appetizing, and desert rather disappointing as well. However, staff were very welcoming and the view and ambience very nice.

The lunch was very disappointing. My Eggs Benedict had hard cooked eggs and very minimal hollandaise sauce, plus an English muffin that was nearly impossible to cut with my knife. I knew the egg yolks should have been runny, and should have sent the dish back. The whole thing had a strange taste. The popovers were heavy with no flavor and the strawberry butter was not very strawberry-ish. The only part of the meal I enjoyed were the strawberry crepes we shared, but after a couple of bites my dining partner had to make a dash for the bathroom. They made her sick. Paulette’s used to be so good…I wish they still offered their Louisiana shrimp crepes and their spinach soufflé.

Brunch Sunday was a disappointment. “Cappuccino” which was just lighter coffee in a mug & was actually cold. 3 of us ordered eggs Benedict, one was swimming in hollandaise, one had barely any. Ham was super salty and the English muffins were soggy. Huge disappointment. Server was sweet and did her best but they seemed overwhelmed.

Our food was really bad: flounder was unseasoned and sad, crab cakes seemed like something from the grocery store freezer aisle. The shrimp and grits were the only exception, so we all three split that. Very overpriced for such bland food.

Such a sad experience of what was once a beautiful fine dining place in downtown Memphis! Only 4 tables of customers, lighting WAY to bright at 6:00 pm, no background music (very awkward silence) cocktail was blah and main course took so long to come out we left after an hour of waiting for it and ate at home! Will not go back until someone else buys it and brings it back to its former glory!

Our server and our food was great. The hostess does you no favors and possibly hurts your business. Not sure we'll return soon and we even live within walking distance.

Brunch with family. We've eaten here before and had a good experience. This time, the food was good, but our appetizers came out before our drinks did. The waitress said it was the bartender, I'm not sure what was going on. There were only 5 other tables dining when we got there so it wasn't busy at all. Maybe they were short on staff. To be a high end dining restaurant, they need to do better. Our reservation was at 12:45 and we didn't leave until after 3. Very slow service to not be busy.

Our dinner in Paulette's was perfect and cocktails in the Terrace beforehand were great— what a view of the sunset! Our waitresses in both Paulette's ( Latecia) and the Terrace ( Niki) were outstanding!

I have always loved Paulette's. I recently met friends there for dinner. We were looking forward to the chicken piccata. However, we did not recognize it. The chicken breasts were in a crispy batter. There was no wine, lemon, caper sauce. Rather than served with angel hair pasta, there were roasted potatoes. While the chicken was excellent, it was not what I would call chicken piccata. One of us ordered soup and received a salad instead. We loved the traditional popovers and strawberry butter. I must admit I miss the various, especially the spinach crepes, that Paulette's once had on their menu. The strawberry crepe we ordered had a few thinly sliced strawberries that were overwhelmed by the orange sauce. Good, but again not what we expected.

We had a very enjoyable dinner...enerything from the food to our waitress was outstanding. The restaurant was very beautiful and relaxing. We really recommend the mushroom crepe appetizer which was quite unique.

Paulette's has been a favorite for many years, but it is in dire need of better management. The restaurant was nearly empty last night and dinner was disappointing - a far cry from from former times. It's our neighborhood restaurant and I'm sorry to see things change so.

I made the reservation but when I got there, I was told that they no longer serve lunch. Even though there were people in there Now they are a dinner only!! Then why would they list lunch on open table for lunch reservations ? Even though there were people in there.

I was looking for a riverside breakfast experience while visiting Memphis. I found this Quaint restaurant near the river. The photos make it seem like you can experience eat on the river but the outside patio actually belongs to a private venue. I ordered my food and as I’m enjoying my breakfast on someone else’s patio I find hair in my food.I was highly disappointed!! Especially paying $18 for 2 eggs, bacon potatoes & toast. I own my own catering company and your cooks should be wearing hair nets!! Then it took the manager FOREVER to come downstairs to address the issue as if it wasn’t a priority. I’ll never return!!

The Monday night specials are a fantastic value for the quality of the food. The portions are somewhat small, but satisfying for me. My husband would be less satisfied with the portion sizes, so I always go with a girl friend. The heat and humidity in this area have been absolutely horrendous! We were first seated at a table by the window, however the A/C was dripping condensation from above. We were promptly moved to an unaffected booth when we advised our server. I also greatly enjoy their Sunday brunch before matinee shows at The Orpheum.
