Might be the best BBQ sandwich in the world. The mustard slaw with the medium sauce is perfect on the jumbo chopped sandwich. They don’t do fries, chips instead, but skip that and get a bologna sandwich as your side.

I was really disappointed with this meal. The presentation was sloppy, and honestly, the food looked more like dog food than something served to customers. The ribs were drenched in sauce with no care for appearance, the sides looked unappetizing, and overall it didn’t give the impression of a quality BBQ plate. For the price and expectations, I was hoping for something that not only tasted good but at least looked decent when served.

A genuine cultural experience. In my opinion this place IS Memphis. It’s fantastic. Do not change anything.

The pork was good the sauce it came with was too sweet for my liking. Beans were nothing to write home about. Cole slaw was a mustard based slaw that was a first ever for me, again not to my liking. Was definitely authentic hole in the wall. I guess you must be from here to really appreciate.

The restaurant didn’t feel very clean, which made it a little uncomfortable to relax and enjoy the meal. The food also seemed questionable in terms of freshness and quality, and unfortunately, it just wasn’t what I expected.

So. You blocked The Apizza Guy on Facebook before his review posts and then when people go to your FB page to ask what happened you block them as well? You also blocked someone whose never even been there. What is THAT about? Not a way to drum up business. Smfh.

My complete honest opinion.. the BBQ is lackluster. I ordered the chopped pork sandwich with slaw and bbq sauce and baked beans. The slaw was extremely yellow which threw me off but the meat was okay in flavor, nothing that knocked my socks off. The beans were nothing more than canned pork and beans and they added a dollop of BBQ sauce on top, the beans lacked flavor and was nothing like bbq beans, I did like the meat that was in it. I also got the beef hot dog… I thought it would have a grilled flavor and I was wrong, it was nothing but a boiled or microwaved hot dog with that tangy slaw on it… it was extremely underwhelming. The pickled taste of the slaw is too much, it overpowered the BBQ sauce, it was way too tangy .And lastly the bathrooms look like something out of an abandoned prison. I definitely won’t be back. I could’ve gotten better tasting food from Tops if I just had to spend money on something. And that hot dog is something you can make at home….

I grew up eating here when they had their location on Bellvue. Awesome BBQ every time! One of the best in Memphis.

Had always heard it was good, and finally tried it. Got a jumbo chopped sandwich. FANTASTIC! The combination of the sauce, slaw and meat was perfection.

Had chopped plate. Sauce was not tasty- too sweet, ketchup-like (if this is the norm, then I guess I am not a fan of heavy ketchup based sauce). Meat was extra fatty, I'm ok with some fat. I like mustard-forward slaw, though this order had too much mustard. Beans were ok. Overall was not good.
