Hello, I just wanted to finally come out and say the cons and pros about Pearls Oyster House. We sell SWAI for Catfish the last 10 years. And for Grouper. The Main Cooler as well as the basement has black mold. The cooler where all the food has mold on food and standing water. You the guest want see this caused you are on the outside looking in. Roaches in the tea and sugar, flour, meal, seasoning, etc. Ehen I tell you if you pull out the coolers roaches will fly everywhere. The kitchen floor is about to cave in. In about 4 spots. And the Dining Room by the windows there is a rug covering it up as well. Reason I am telling all this is because The Owner Ray Porter doesn’t give a dam bout the guest all he cares bout is wat the guest can do for him. Want get the building fix for nuthin m. Love to patch things up. I can say so much more but please be ADVISED this is no LIE watch your FOOD. It’s not wat you think it is

I almost skipped this place because of the bad reviews. Glad I didn’t. Everything we had was fantastic (bacon wrapped shrimp, 6 oyster sampler, blackened chicken and fries, shrimp skewers). The rice and garlic mashed potatoes that came with the shrimp skewer were the best I’ve ever had. No automatic gratuity added and I found the prices to be reasonable. Bill was $80 for all we had and we had 2 beers also.

My family and I ate here for lunch after going to the National Civil Rights Museum. The service was friendly and the food was excellent - highly recommend the grilled shrimp po boy.

Ordered the shrimp & grits. Was really good! Knocking a few stars off because the service wasn’t the best (friendly, but inattentive). Idk if its a Memphis thing, but the other place lacked good service as well.As far as the shrimp & grits, was very flavorful but near the end of the bowl, it was saturated with oil/butter. I couldn’t finish it all because of that. The flavor was there, though. The fried onion rings are amazing.

Great food and super friendly staff. Got right in with a parry of 6. Kitchen was backed up, but they told us that prior to be seated, so we knew to be patient. And it was well worth it! Will definitely go back again.

Fried chicken was exceptional. Crab and Shrimp bucket was very good. Good music in the background. Service was great. Polite.

Yep was served and a lot to disliking. No manager on the clock would make the ticket right. The gm was called and supposedly on his way to fix this bogus ticket! He was a no show! Mute point really I’ve called all day to talk to the gm about a minimum of$100 overcharge and have been disconnected more than 5 times. No wonder the company going into the toilet if the only thing is my &100 stoping them from the doors closing just like they’re other locations my $100 plus dollars won’t keep them afloat!

Not what it used to be. It took 4 hours to have dinner. I waited on us more than the only server, I helped find the lights also. People leaving.. the menu is not marked with prices. There is no advertised prices on the chalkboard or anywhere. Market price changes daily, as a Floridian, well aware of this. 200.00 for a seafood platter, 30$ per dozen raw oysters.. 400$ not worth it, food not what it used to be. Be warned ⚠️

We randomly walked in this establishment around 2pm on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The environment was quiet, and cozy. It was too busy, and the waitresses were very attentive. The food was better than I expected. And midway through the meal, I was making plans to come back. Loved it!!!

Visited on New Years Eve. Did not have to wait for seating. The rice was a little salty or maybe that was the flavor but other than that everything was good. The tip was already included even if you have a party of 2 (so be aware). The Margarita I had was good. I'm such a cheap person so that $91 bill had my eyes buck. I would go back just not every week. Lol This would be a once every two month type of thing for my budgetistas.

Food is always amazing. We have came here for years. The prices we are good with for such good food. The service is the issue. The servers act as if they really don’t care if they take care of the tables they have or not. Get people seated and get their orders and then move on. I realize help is hard to come by but the servers they have would be able to do so much better and would probably try harder but the business is happy to let everyone know that there will be a 18% gratuity added to every ticket no matter the amount of people at a table. They have signs posted all over to let you know ahead of time. So the servers are not really working hard to try to earn a good tip. They know they will get paid the same regardless of how good the service is that they provide. We usually leave a 20% gratuity or even more when we go out to eat when we have good service but here they absolutely do not have good service any longer. We will wait a few months and try again in hopes the service will improve. Again the food is very good. I hate to have to take this out of our normal stops but we can’t handle this type of service any longer.

This restaurant is Downtown Memphis on Main Street; the building has separate level for parties, events, etc. We had a late lunch of Salmon (with Rice Pilaf and Steamed Broccoli) and Seafood Pasta (shrimp and scallops). The Seafood Pasta had a rich creamy sauce, but the Salmon, although grilled perfectly, wasn't flavorful. 18% gratituity automatically added to your check. Next visit, I'll try an Oyster entree.

A little disappointed in the presentation of the raw oysters. They were small but good. The ice was on top of the oysters instead of the oysters laying on the ice. I had to first pick off all of the ice before I could eat the oysters. Not sure what happened there. The fried catfish was great and the seafood Alfredo has so much seafood in it. I had the half order and could not eat it all. Both the catfish and the Alfredo was so good. I’d come back here over and over.

Mediocre food. frozen shrimp used for coconut shrimp. Oysters were good. Our server seemed overwhelmed. He was the only server there.

First of all there were no prices on the menu! Tried the oysters they were not good! Tried the fried fish platter and it was very undercooked. I don’t recommend d trying this one!
