I just had a HORRIFIC experience at Perignons Restaurant & Event Center. I made a reservation there for today (5/25/2024) at noon over a week ago. We intended to celebrate my brother's birthday. We were about 10 minutes late for our reservation but we called when they opened (at noon) and were told it wouldn't be a problem. (Note that AFTER we called, I got an email on my phone saying our table was ready lol) We arrived by 12:15. When we did, we were shocked to hear gangster rap blaring so loudly from the building it about filled the strip mall. Individuals exhibiting varying levels of professionalism could be seen loading things into the "event center" side of the building. When we entered the restaurant side, we sat idly for about 5 minutes, were told we'd be seated shortly, and waited 10 more minutes to be led into the completely empty dining area. Almost immediately, the only employee providing service in the restaurant began explaining how understaffed she was, how she might not get to sing at church tonight, how she usually only mixes drinks but now she has to serve, how her coworker is late every weekend, how all the noise and apparent confusion was because of a party planned tonight in the event center. We'd already viewed the brunch menu days before coming and knew what we wanted but she insisted we use our phones to re-review the QR code menu. At around 12:35 we were able to order our food: I wanted the shrimp and grits and my brother wanted the chicken and waffles. I ordered a bellini (I wanted the mimosa flight but she told us they had broken too many glasses to serve flights) and we both got lemonades. She brought the drinks and we waited. At some point, a man I presume to be a/the boss/manager came into the restaurant, entered the kitchen, and began berating employees with profanity laden diatribe well within earshot of our table. We got lemonade refills and continued waiting. At approximately 1:15, I decided we'd had enough (we had other plans etc) and paid for the drinks and left. You'd have thought they'd comp those after the appalling lack of service and professionalism, but no, the two lemonades and the bellini were almost $19 after taxes. As we were leaving, someone I presume was in the kitchen staff told us he was sorry our party didn't come but if we needed food we could ask them. What party didn't come? The party of 2 standing in front of you? The same that made the reservation a week ago? I couldn't figure out what he meant but my mood was too low to care so we just left.We saw/heard lots of negative reviews about this place before coming, but I believe in giving things a fair shot of their own rather than buying hearsay wholesale. And of course, we wanted to support the culture. But I came here to celebrate a special occasion and it was a disaster, when any number of other establishments - black owned or otherwise - would have made it memorable. We love to talk about how we don't give B.O.B.s a chance, or are harder on them than other places, but I can't remember returning to any place where my FIRST experience was awful; black owned or otherwise. There are several improvement opportunities apparent but at the very least honor reservations. I thought restaurants prepared for guests hours in advance of opening. We were late for a reservation and STILL waited to be seated despite being the only guests in the restaurant. Then we waited so long to be fed we eventually left. Extremely disappointed, couldn't recommend to anyone.

My sister and I went here for the first time for karaoke happy hour. The 1/2 off special for happy hour was great. The atmosphere was good, my only concern was how loud the music was. We could barely hear each other. The restaurant is really nice and clean. The food need some attention. The fried green tomatoes were seasoned great, but was paper thin as if it was shaved. It looked nothing like the menu photo. The Chilli tots taste like it was straight from the can. The presentation of the food could use some love. Visually the food didn't look good. The junkyard wedges were good, but the presentation looked sloppy.

They do not cook with love, nor do they have recipes, if you know what I mean. Example: Macaroni n cheese was straight out the box.

We came here for my birthday celebration and had so much fun! Love the ambiance, food was good, drinks were nice, and the live band was good. After the band the DJ turned up and we had a good time!

Made reservations for 7:30 a week in advance for dinner for two a hour before that I was emailed that a coverage charge will be applied for entry because a live band would be there no problem . We arrive on time was seated didn’t receive a drink until 9:00 order appetizer never got it or a meal band left a lil after 10 and we were told it’s best we cancel our food order . Who does that . Then u still wanted to charge us a tip for service what service. Atmosphere nice but the service is awful. Can’t rate the food because we didn’t receive any after being there 4 hours .
