They truly need a new system for taking and maintaining reservations. My husband called last night to modify our valentines dinner reservation that he made 3 weeks in advance. The woman who answered the phone was extremely unfriendly and said she had no record of our reservation. My husband stated that he called 3 weeks ago and made a 6pm reservation, to which her reply was “well I don’t know what you’re going to do because we don’t have it”… at this point my husband asked to speak to a manager, who was kind enough to offer us a reservation but said he couldn’t guarantee that we wouldn’t have to wait. We have friends and family that have experienced the same problem with their reservation system. A new system where you could have some form of confirmation code would be nice.

First visit but definitely not the last! We sat in the bar at a table. The vibe is retro 60's, very cool! Lots of celebrity photos on the walls. Awesome cocktails, incredible appetizers and the main dishes are generous sizes perfect to share (if you want to, I didn't 😉) The lasagna is the absolute best I've ever had!!! Staff is very attentive and friendly.

Memphis quintessential Steak and Italian! The Italian spinach is not to be missed, as are the amazing baby pizza side. Steaks are perfect, and I love the eggplant parm!

I've been going here my whole life. My grandfather used to take me as a child and I feel like I grew up in the restaurant. I always order the same thing because it's like coming home when I eat there. The only thing is it seems the Spumoni has changed. It used to be a neat little slice and this time it was scoops. Everything else was on point.

Pete & Sam’s has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s more than a restaurant — it’s a Memphis tradition that’s always felt like home. I crave their pizza, toasted ravioli, and Miss Vita salad all the time. In recent years, I’ve fallen in love all over again with the bar — my own little “Regal Beagle” — with martinis, wine, cold beer, and those classic rolling chairs. I always see someone I know when I’m there, which just adds to the charm. No matter how many new spots open, Pete & Sam’s will always be my favorite.

Turning 57 years old next month, and this restaurant has consistently been a fixture in my family's life. Pete and Sam's has been the best food without question in Memphis for decades! Throw a dart at the menu, and you'll pick a winner! Kudos to this Memphis staple!
Pete and Sam's have served 5 generations in our family! My husband's parents started dining there in 1948 when it opened. My husband grew up going there; when we dated, we went there, our children, grandchildren and great grands - We've literally had a lifetime of memories, celebrations, date-nights and most of all the best Italian food in Memphis! This is a must try Italian restaurant for Memphis. We loved the spaghetti and chicken Marsala. The kids loved the pizza and you can order just a side dish of food instead of a kids meal for the kids who do not eat a lot. It was plenty for my 5 year old.
