This is a tricky review for me since I don't eat meat other than the occasional fish. My sister got the pulled sandwich, no slaw, and fries. I ordered the slaw and fried pickles.

My sister moaned her way through through the pork sandwich and offered no critique. We both enjoyed the fries.

Slaw was good, but the pickles were amazing. I'm still thinking about then hours later. Super thin fried to a crisp that maintained its structure after it cooled. Coating didn't slide off, seasoned just enough. I'm ruined for all other fried pickles. We both mentioned to other people hours later, how good the food was.

Eat here.

Meat dry with bbq sauce on rib tips seem like old greasy fat tough meat with no ridget French fries that looks like wet skinny bent over spaghetti. Nice flavored BbQ sauce but the meat of rib tips was old and dried out hard with greasy fat. With buts off the bottom and top of a loaf of bread.

I liked the relaxed atmosphere — it felt comfortable to sit and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed.

My party was all first-timers at Pollard's. The concensus was that the barbecue ranks up there with some of the best we've ever had! You're talking about three 50-or-over people who have had a LOT of barbecue! That's saying something! Pulled pork sandwich was out of this world delicious! The slaw abd beans were scrumptious. If anything, I wish I'd ordered two sandwiches!!

I didn't even taste the food in all honesty because the lady behind the counter was so rude while I was trying to place my order I couldn't bring myself to spend my money there. I just told her nevermind and walked out. There was only one couple in the whole place you would think she wouldn't want to run off any one by being rude. Not sure if she owns the place however if she does with customer service like that it will close down soon. This was Sunday Aug 24th around 3 in the afternoon the place should have been packed and you have the audacity to rude. I could go on but I digress....do better lady

Set back from the road a little bit with ample parking and a simple storefront was what I was looking for. Off Beale Street but still BBQ quality. Greeted by the casual Memphis charm as soon as I walked through the door, followed by a wath of the cool smoke that was about to tantalize my taste buds. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, spicy, with coleslaw on top and 5 full wings, dry rub. When I say the sandwich was crisp with a bite and a sauntering undertone of sweet smoke, you know what I'm talking about. It was fresh with a combination of flavors that permeated through my tastebuds with a lingering of the beautiful, chopped, not pulled, smoked pork. When I say it was exactly what I wanted and battling at the top of a arguable list of pulled pork sandwiches, it is high up there. From the bun, to the smoked meat, to the BBQ sauce, and coleslaw; on point!

The chicken wings weren't overdone, uncomplicated, and were everything I needed. I got the dry rub because I like the sweet and savory combination between the chicken meat and flavors of a dry rub. Comparison is the thief of joy and I can't compare the wings to the pork sandwich but I did like the sandwich better. But, like I said, the wings were exactly what I wanted without knowing it.

The dust leftover should explain it all, I ate everything off the plate and it being a BBQ place, it came with the exterior left over decoration of a satisfied customer.

Today is the 4th of July and didn't want to get on the grill. Went to other bbq establishments, and their was a lot of chaos. Almost gave up, but rode by Pollard's and gave it one last try. It was plenty of people ordering but everyone was cordial and patient. One person taking orders, and she was excellent. Apologizing to everyone for the wait, but she was very professional. Food was great. We'll be back. Thank you 😊

Great bbq! We stopped in on our way out, heading toward the airport. Denise was a fantastic host. She put a meal together for 3 of us. Ribs with their dry rub and bbq sauce are a must. Brisket was fantastic. Baked beans and fried okra were delicious. I love skin cut french fries, yum! Lastly she let us sample the bbq spaghetti. Yeah, that's right, bbq spaghetti, Wonderful! We will return in August when we are back thru Memphis again. I suggest you stop in and try everything!

I had the Duo plate and brisket sliced. Tips were really tough and brisket had no seasoning to it. Bland would be nice to say. Sides were limited but if you can fry chicken, I would assume fries would be available. The restaurant looks nice and has history all over the walls. But I anticipated trying some good memphis bbq and disappointment is what I received.

Visiting Memphis and stopped by Pollards and what a great experience we had. The food was fresh and tasty and the best was the wonderful woman that helped us order. She made our experience so special and we would definitely come back again.

I was nearby and wanted to support local business. The BBQ is amazing and the young man behind the register was very welcoming. I'll be back :)
