If you’re in Memphis or the surrounding areas, you have to try this place. Move over Memphis BBQ (Goodman Rd). There is a tastier king in the area. The sauce is one of the sauces you will want to take home. It really is that good. The Okra is made to order (hot and crispy) and the potato salad is out of this world.
I paid around $24.00 not including tip. Worth every penny. I will come back prior to me leaving the area.
The area isn’t the best (the reason for 4 stars) but the food is well worth making a visit.

First off I was busy the day I indulged, but I got time today cuz.. I took my soon-to-be to this establishment despite initial gut perception, and knowing the price hike, we simultaneously agreed. What really grinds my gears is we were served as if we were high school, 100lb wet exchange students from South Africa. In detail, we both ordered the pork plate which came with 2 sides, a drink, and I support black owned businesses (plus I get my big back on), so I ordered a portion of potato salad. The food was barely warm and we were given a Dollar General, plastic spork portion of beans. My back unfortunately was unbigged on this day of meloncholy dissatisfaction. But I digress, because my fiance told me not to say anything, but I couldn't. Because I left the same way I came in....HONGRY. Do with this what you may. Salutations from the legend from Westwood.

I was excited to try this place for the first time since I drive by often... but it was very disappointing. The food was absolutely disgusting & way overpriced. I spent $28 & felt so ripped off. I wanted to like this place but I will not return.

But those wings though...... Holy moly! Delicious dry rub and nice and hot (temp)! The ribs and sauce were delish... and the service was so friendly and inviting.

Sadly, they were out of green beans but the Cole slaw and Potato salad were very tasty.

I opted for water but they had plenty of beer for a super reasonable price.

The setting is nothing fancy but it was clean and there was plenty of seating on a Friday late afternoon.

Mrs. Pollard treated me as an old family member. She was so pleasant. Food was for my mom but I am sure it was good.

Nothing fancy on the outside. Just like you'd expect from a good BBQ joint. Inside, excellent ribs and sides. Great, friendly service. Helpful if you're not sure what you want.
Plan to stop by again on my next trip through Memphis.

Nothing like having BBQ after a Titans W leaving back to Texas. Unfortunately no food pictures...i was too hungry and as soon as the food arrived it started to disappear fast! Loved Pollards BBQ had the Ribs, Sausage (Red hot and smoked), Brisket, BBQ spaghetti, green beans, and beans. I generally don't like BBQ sauce on my BBQ just on the side but i picked the mixed and the Spice on the BBQ sauce made me change my stance. I will be back every visit to Tennessee!

I spent 17.00 at their restaurant just a few minutes ago, I asked for a cup of ice and I was told I had to pay for it… it’s almost 100 degrees and I can’t get ice? I will never go there again!! I would have got better service somewhere else and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I’m giving 2 stars because the food was awesome. Them two fat ladies that rings up customers are very rude, the moma talks really crazy when you are placing an order rushes you to order. The fat daughter walks around with air pod in while talking to customers and it makes it hard for her to hear and touching her phone will passing you your phone. Please fix this because the food is very good

Spoke to Tony Pollards aunt. We chopped it up talking football and football. Great environment and good food. It's a family restaurant. You could tell they source good pork.
