A Mexican friend told me to try Restaurante Vigil. It’s Honduran, I figured if a Mexican says it’s good, it must be good. I had lunch here yesterday. A pretty big menu, but the picture of the carne asada tacos with the cilantro and onions, it had to be my choice. They were excellent. So full that the meat and veggies kept falling out onto the plate. I had to use my fingers and a spoon to get it all, but I cleaned the plate. They were so good, with a little hot sauce.

And I had a coffee. I’m very particular about coffee. Most places—even coffee shops don’t have good coffee. It was a perfect cup of black coffee, just how I like it.

The hostess was friendly and helpful, and lucky for me, bilingual. The patrons were friendly and they could tell I was new to the place, but everyone was smiling and cheerful. Maybe the praise music playing made us all feel better.

I love tacos, but there was so much else on the menu. Like balleadas! I’m hungry thinking about how good lunch was yesterday and I’m definitely going back today.

If you’re like me, and almost never carry cash, make sure you do when you come here. No card reader. Cash only. Plenty of tables, and a comfortable, friendly place.

Bunch of cabbage, plantain slices but a little piece of chicken in my order not worth it for 16 bucks is more like a rip off

Saturday evening visit. Clean dining area. Menu is only photos so that made ordering ackward. We tried 4 dishes. The Papusa were good. Tamales are large with chicken leg ( with bone in)and flavorful. Not too spicy. We enjoyed our dinner there.

Good service, good atmosphere and good food. Their Honduran chuco chicken could improve, but the rest is exquisite.

This is legit original authentic Honduran food. I grew in a Honduran household since me an my family are from Tela Honduras and with that said many of the dishes presented on their menu were dishes I grew up eating that were staple! The baleadas were so large so I could immediately tell those tortillas are hand made just like my momma made them, las pupusas excelente! Pollo guisado buen cocinado! They only accept cash and the surrounding neighborhood is really sketchy so I took take out ?

I was there for a week. And I ate a chicken with slices and it was super delicious. Just as the seasoning is. And a very good portion of slices.
However, the second time it had a different flavor, I don't know if it was because it was a different cook. But still; Well. If I return along those routes, of course I will go again.

First of all, the music, extremely loud to the point that it doesn't let you talk, they are pure praises of religion and I respect that, but they could lower the volume, it was actually something deafening.I ordered the pupusas mixed, however I never saw the chicharrón.The coleslaw was very salty.Bad service, they didn't even have menus. The menu is on the most hidden wall they have and without light.I'm not coming back.

Loved it. Best papusas since we were in Central America. Friendly service and great food. Can’t wait to go back.

They have to improve the taste of their meals as much as the chicken with slices and some other dishes I think they have lost their merits because they do not cook quite well I hope they improve
