The gazpacho soup was superb and very different. The crème brule’ was also beautifully presented and delicious. The crab cakes were served with a delicious salad with mango and avocado. The bartender makes a delicious Manhattan. Sam was our waiter and was charming and efficient.

The salmon with asparagus and cauliflower dish was so good. I highly recommend. The peach desert was just OK. It had too much bourbon for me.
Parking: Parking was plentiful during lunch, but I almost missed the exit getting into the restaurant, as the entrance was rather abrupt and not as obvious.

My wife and I had a very disappointing experience at River Oaks Restaurant.
We received a gift card a while back from a student of hers, who highly recommended it and enjoys going with her family, and were looking forward to some amazing French cuisine. However, it was not to be.
Arriving right before our reservation time, we were seated quickly. The table was the first warning sign, it was a high traffic walkway with windowsills jutting into our space. Then we waited, and waited...and waited. We watched as parties seated after us were watered and fed. I had enough time to go use the bathroom and still no one acknowledged us. No food, no water, and no service. We decided to leave and no one batted an eye. It seemed intentional, as if we were not wanted there.
I would like to give this place another go as I am a believer in second chances. Plus, we must use this gift card.
In the meantime, I cannot recommend this eatery.

Great local, dining. The food is delicious and on point every time. I love the sea scallops and crispy tuna. Intimate dining room is great for a date, night with friends or work social. The patio is one of my favorites in town.
Parking: Parking onsite shared with a hotel so sometimes requires parking some distance from the restaurant or behind the hotel, but there is plenty of parking.

Delicious meal in an upscale setting (inside). Salmon was prepared terrific with a light glaze and decent portion. The table enjoyed an assortment of appetizers which everyone enjoyed the baked brie as well as the tuna tartar. Solid wine selection and good desserts which the table thought the key lime pie was best. Attentive service. A good place to entertain clients, family or have a romantic dinner.
