Only gave an extra stars cause the Oo wee rolls are soo good HOWEVER the waitresses are soo rude , when I couldn’t decide on what to order she told me “ so we are not dining in anymore correct ?” With the nastiest attitude and she didn’t even suggest nothing or give me time and mind you it was empty in there 🤣

We went on a Sunday for brunch with a large party. They said they had a large party and it would be awhile before we could be seated. It was a long while. Some of our party decided to sit outside. It was too cool outside for some of us so we went inside. One of the hostesses/waitresses automatically walked up to us and said (in a rude way) you can't split your party. I said we are not splitting m, they are outside and we are inside. She turned around and said (in a rude way) y'all can sit here. My friend's mom sat at the table beside us and the rude lady came back and said (in a rude way) you can't sit there, you have one table only. Then my friend comes in and she was rude to her. One of our friends got up and left out. And she said she was not giving them her money! One friend asked to see the manger. He came over looking and talking like he had no cares in the world. We stayed and ate. The food had no taste. One friend did say the wings were good but everyone else complained about the tasteless items. The drinks were good but the service and the food sucked! Except the wings... and mind you there was seating all around the restaurant but they never tried to accommodate our whole party...

The soul rolls are absolutely delicious! Our cocktails were also unique and tasty.
I had shrimp & grits. The shrimp was great but the grits could have used a bit more salt. On the other hand my partner had a burger. He loved the fries but the burger was a bit overseasonsed.

I placed an order for delivery. Instead of them communicating they were missing items, they sent part of it. They then told the driver to let me know they couldn't make the full order. I spoke with the Manager she was sarcastic and rude. I ordered a soul waffle, egg rolls and chicken wings for my Wife and I. The only thing that arrived were the chicken wings.. Very disappointed..
First time to visit Memphis from Louisiana, great food, great service and Ms. Jewels was phenomenal. Definitely brings the warmth and love to her customers. We will be back for sure

If I could give this review a negative 1, I would. Picture this... (its long but insightful) You've heard tons of great things about food from a restaurant. Its Friday night (9:30 pm) and you haven't eaten all day. You are looking through doordash and come across this raved about restaurant. You place your order, $38 for soul egg rolls and grilled catfish and sit patiently. But each time you check the app, the time for the order to arrive is being pushed back. You get a message from the dasher stating the order is taking longer than expected. Then a message saying the restaurant stated they stop cooking certain foods at 930. So, I call the restaurant to confirm and this where a bad situation turns horrible. The Sage staff who answered had the most condensing, dismissive, and rude attitude I have ever experienced at a supposedly quality restaurant. When I asked her about this cut off time and inquired about why DoorDash would allow me to still place an order that the restaurant can't fulfill, she stated that it had always been like this and that it was Doordash and my issue, not a Sage issue. When I told her, she was speaking in a rude way to me and that I need to speak to her manager, she stated that I was the one who was frustrated about my order and she was the manager. Lolll, if she is really the manager, Sage is in a ton of trouble because she is UNPROFESSIONAL and a poor example of providing customer care. I then asked ,how I can get in contact with whoever is over her and speed yells an email address. I just hung the phone up because again thst is not how you treat customers, the reason a business stays in business. Especially when I'm still hungry and foodless after 2 hours of waiting for food that would never arrive. So Im doing this review to save anyway the trouble of ordering anything from this restaurant on doordash because you WON'T GET YOUR FOOD!! Now, despite wanting to try the food so bad, I will never order Sage again. You can't treat me like dirt over the phone and still expect my business. Im also sending an email to the owner. The public and the business owner needs to know Sage employees don't value the customers!!

Sage in Memphis is an absolute vibe! The atmosphere is chic, sexy, and perfect for a night out with great music setting the tone. Jessica and Jewels were AMAZING — their service was warm, attentive, and really made the experience memorable. The food, drinks, and overall energy make Sage a must-visit spot in the city. Highly recommend!
