I can’t brag about this place enough. I don’t know how there is not a line out the door. Chef Chris is amazing. Everything we had was delicious. I will be out here to eat at Sage every time I’m in Memphis.

We went around 5, and it was empty when we came in, and we instantly saw why. My brother saw some crawl over and behind the booth, and then we saw a baby roach crawling on the table😭, and when we told them, they acted so unconcerned, so we just told them to cancel our order. Tbh they were a little rude when we walked in so we should have known something wasn't right

Some family and myself had a delicious evening at sage last night. I had the wings for a starter and the fried fish and red potatoes and others had the grilled salmon , rolls etc everything and I mean everything was prepared fresh and delicious our beautiful waitress bre suggested the french 75 and thats was great as well. Hopefully they enjoyed having us and much as we enjoyed being there.

This doesn’t even deserve one star. We put our name down at 11:51. We were told 45 minutes. It is currently 1:30pm and still we have not received a text saying our table is ready. What’s even worse is someone in our party went to check on the status of our wait and we were told that we could sit outside. That wasn’t originally what we wanted, but considering we had been waiting so long, we decided to accept the outside seat. After we agreed to sit outside, it was another 30 minutes before the party that was sitting outside finally got up and left. So that was another lie. There were not even seats available outside when the offer was made. We then saw them cleaning off several tables and when we inquired if one of the tables was for us, we were told no….even though our name was next on the list. We really wanted to support a small minority owned business, and we were not able to. Which is unfortunate. There’s more to share about the experience, but frankly I’m tired of writing. I understand that businesses are crowded, but be upfront, honest and transparent.
Update: it’s is now 9:50pm and I still never got a text that our table is ready…….

Visited from Louisiana and everything was AMAZING!!! The food was hot fresh and delicious. The fish and grits were 10/10 the fish was seasoned very well and crispy the grits had a sauce on top that just set the tone. The strawberry cheesecakes French toast had cheesecake oozing out. Oh let’s not forget the waitress ms. Taylor she was AMAZING. We ate outside and she was very attentive and nice. She constantly kept making sure we were okay. And the owner he was out there serving food and cleaning tables himself. It’s good too see management help out lets us know he is good ppl. We will be back to visit but next time we will come at dinner time to try the soul food egg rolls.

I brought my family to this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday.We.just relocated bk from Virginia Beach and didn't have a clue where to go. All I know is I goofed this place and to our surprise it was exactly more than I expected.. Unfortunately, the.only bad thing was having to.wait til.a.table was clean and floor was swept upon arriving. Other than that the atmosphere was good and the food was giving awesome..My husband was very pleased at the quality of the food..The staff was great..

Amazing brunch experience! We were greeted with a smile, seated and given time to review menu. Our server, Khadijah was friendly and attentive. Our food was delicious , pricing was great and wonderful atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back for dinner!

The soul waffle didn't have anything in it essentially. It is basically an oversized bengeit. I was disappointed there was not stuffing or filling in the dish and essentially not only not worth the money, but even worse, you leave still hungry loomimg for something else. Try something else or you'll waste your money. Picture wouldn't post. Memphis needs more brunch options.

Went with a big party like a group of 17 and the service we received from the bright skin host was unacceptable. The service we received from the short hair server, Jessica was terrible as well. Bartender was wonderful, drinks were great. Food was okay but nothing extravagant. Only had 2 waiters in the whole place and they both seemed irritated, did not seem as if they enjoy their JOB at all. 3/10 service I highly do not recommend . Place is smaller than it looks on pictures as well and is the size of a small living room. Not a place for big groups . 20% gratuity automatically gets added to every bill so that’s probably why we got the service we got . They get tipped regardless.

Ordered shrimp and grits no real issue or complaints with my order, my guest ordered catfish and gross and her fish was fried extra crispy, they did make it right however there was no urgency in the remake. Service was good. We sat at the bar.
